I needed a portable turntable system. After checking out options, the Andover system is the best choice. The sub woofer package enhances the already perfect sound quality. It's a little time consuming to set up, by easy to follow You Tube directions. Awesome system.

Perfect set up

I have had a number of high end sound systems. It has been many years since we have had a turntable. We had many inherited albums and purchased an Andover 1 system - it is terrific! Added a Onkyo CD player and now listening to music we haven't heard in decades. The size of the system and sound is amazing, no regrets.

Andover 1 integrated system

We have zero regrets buying the Andover Premier One system. Every component was shipped as promised, easy to arrange, and looks great in our living room. The sound quality is excellent when paired with subwoofer. A great value!

Replaced Sonos enabled Project Turntable

The Andover-one is great!

The subwoofer I received is broken/ does not work. One of the speakers is loose and the box is cracked where the speaker is screwed into the wood. I have reached out to Andover via email and using their support links on their website. I have yet to hear back from them.

Great fit and included the proper hardware. Completes the One & Sub system and gives a nice, finished look.

"...I can now play vinyl on the A1 as well as stream music with my iPhone with the A1 and SE4 speakers working simultaneously for both methods with no static, etc. The result is GLORIOUS! I could not be happier. The SE4 sound phenomenal on their own but when paired with the A1 speakers and subwoofer.... well, I could just cry, the sound is that good. This compact record player packs some serious sound! My vinyl has never sounded better. If you're on the fence, just do it.

This is my model one which you can see that I have added the base unit. I also use it to stream audio as it has practically every additional equipment plug-in that you would need. I have modest space and it sits in my sunroom where I have my small photography studio. It makes working with the photos so much more pleasant when there is great music the unit has exceptional sound for my purposes.
In addition, Andover Support is amazing. My remote quit working and they promptly sent me a new one. Highly recommended.

I personally deem the Andover One Subwoofer as an absolute must-have for any audio enthusiast seeking to enhance their vinyl playback setup. With its powerful amplifier and sophisticated DSP, it delivers deep, clear, and precise bass. The setup is incredibly simple, even for beginners, and the subwoofer's IsoGroove technology effectively prevents acoustic feedback, ensuring a distortion-free performance. I thought that was too good to be true before ordering but indeed it IS TRUE! Highly recommended!

The sound from this unit is great. My kids are enjoying listening to my old records. Now they want to start collecting vinyl! ?? I am very happy with my purchase. 

The Andover-One is way more impressive than I could've imagined. The soundstage is crazy! You need to hear this to believe it. My vinyl records have never sounded this good. I'm also impressed with the finish. This was a combo mother's day and father's day gift from my wife and I to ourselves HAHA! Now the kids can buy us records. 

First my unit was defective, at the highest volume setting a high pitched squealing noise could be heard. It did not go away until you lowered the volume to unusable levels of sound. Also, the maximum volume level is my comfortable range so this unit is limited to the output of the amplifier. To be fair I'm sure it has to do with the design because the turntable sits on the speakers. But advertising should tell you this unit operates at lower levels of volume by design. The support folks are great and handle the issue with no problem. I decided to return the unit for a complete refund. But it certainly was a nice unit for its intended purpose, but not mine. 

It is difficult, with the minimum illustrative instructions, to balance the arm. I am still having trouble with it.

Just can't get over how nice this is. Felt guilty for paying such a price at first but not regretting it now. My albums have never sounded so good. Sounds great at low volume or high. Added the woofer and not regretting that either. Look to add the stand latter. It really is an investment. I've saved these albums for so long and now I can really enjoy them!

Love it!

The Andover Model One has brought listening to records back into my life in my small city apartment, It was playing a half-hour out of the box. Hi-tech, but not over done. The guide to assembly was spot-on. At the end of the day, it's a phonograph for the 2020s. The bluetooth and other connectivity to TV and DVD player is an added bonus. The sound has the highs and bottoms I demand in a sound system, and it makes both my new re-issued albums and the old classics sound great. It was not a purchase, it was an investment. THANK YOU Andover.

Excellent product

If you're looking for deeper lows that fit directly within the spectrum that the model one delivers then I wouldn't hesitate to order this subwoofer with your turntable. Not only does it compliment the system but it adds another level of sound to the already almost perfect listening environment that the turntable alone delivers. I purchased the complete system as a secondary listening platform for my living room and I already find myself using the model one over my existing system. I moved half my album collection to my living room. The subwoofer not only compliments the system but it adds to its performance. I'm glad I added it. Don't hesitate to make the leap. It's well worth it and also sits well with my JBL l100 classics. It adds a bass that wasn't there before. I find myself relistening to some of my favourites just to see what difference it makes in the low end. 5 stars for customer support too!! I had an issue with my first shipment to Canada and they rectified it immediately and even threw in a couple of phono cables for the trouble. Amazing unit and customer service!

A must have for any audio enthusiast

Its pretty, lovely mid-century aesthetic and fairly simple to put up, the instructions are not great, but that's fine.
 
 Having the storage cabinet and subwoffer all stacked up in a small footprint for the price is unusual to say the least, next least expensive is about double the price.
 
 Having said that, its a decent system, but fairly expensive for what it is. The turntable itself is ok, not top of the line, it lacks a few functions that I would like, auto arm return, auto stop when the arm is in the up position.
 
 The sound quality is good, needs a couple extra wall mount speakers, but its a compact system, so thats was my choice, the unit has an output for when I get more ambitious. If Andover made a small set of satellite speakers I'd probably get them (hint hint).
 
 I'd say get this if you want simple and pretty and having good quality sound is important. Everything is a compromise, this is an excellent one.


Better then good

After recently downsizing to a smaller house, I thought I would never be able to have space for a turntable and good speakers. Such
 a relief to read about the Model One in Stereophile. After the easy setup, and listening to part of one album, my wife and I said "Let's dance" and we spent the afternoon dancing to 70s and 80s favorites.

What a great system!

If I could give it 6-stars I would. I’ve always had component systems, so I’m used to great sound. I knew I wasn't going to be happy with most of the lifestyle systems out there, but this one is different. It’s built and tuned to a very high standard, using quality components and it throws a surprisingly convincing soundstage despite its small footprint. The sound from records is really good, with minimal noise and rock solid speed accuracy. To me it's somewhat magical that it can play a record at powerful volumes and not feedback through the tonearm and needle. I use it every day streaming from Qobuz, TuneIn and Spotify and appreciate the auto turn-on feature that lets me operate it from the phone app without the need to separately turn the unit on and off. It’s a small thing, but a nice touch you appreciate with use. I also purchased the matching Subwoofer, which seamlessly extends the bass to cover the entire frequency range with power and perfect balance. This system was super easy to set up and accommodate. The compact setup and really good looks allows it to stay in our living room. As a result, we use it much more, which enhances its value to us. The genuine walnut and cloth construction that channels classic mid-century design is such a welcome change from the black and silver components that look like they belong in a lab. I recommend it for superior sound in a great looking package that impresses your audiophile friends, is easy to buy and install, and fun to use.

This thing is great!

Super-easy set up, incredible sound, and a huge space saver! No worries with wires, looks wonderful on my existing vinyl shelves, and did I mention the incredible sound?? Highly recommend for anyone who's been looking for an all-in-one audio platform as there is bluetooth connectivity for streaming, as well. Don't be dumb... snag yourself a Model-One!!!
