Great as a main, fill or kicker light

I absolutely love the compactability of this light. It is powerful for it?s size. Plus the light reflector adds a unique styling to the light output. The option to connect to standard Bowen light modifiers is magnificent. This actually was the selling point for me. The app connectivity works flawlessly. This is a great unit to have in your kit. It?s easy to mount and adapt to multiple light sources.

Excellent compact bi-color light

This is an amazing bi-color led light. If you don?t need a brighter light, you can?t go wrong with this light. Only drawbacks are minor. The case is hard to put everything back into and I question the longevity of the plastic hinge. The other small issue is the light has a plastic bowens mount and plastic reflector. Not sure how heavy of a modifier I would risk on it. Those are both small issues and were minor enough I bought a second light after testing the first. Highly recommended.

Great value

I love its portable size, lightweight. the V-mount is very useful and the color accuracy is very good. I use it for product, portrait or fill photography in combination with flashes. you can take it anywhere and it is very powerful to illuminate interview video. I also use it to illuminate the background in photographs.

Lots of light in a small package.

Just took delivery, after waiting a few weeks for the back order to get fulfilled. The instrument is tiny, but so bright! I am old school in my lighting approach, so hard sources are a logical starting point for my approach. Looking forward to seeing how I can shape this source and then decide whether to add more to the kit. Bowen?s mount makes a lot of sense, and influenced my decision to purchase. I?d prefer fresnel, but I do see an adapter is available. This will be part of a quickie interview kit.

Fantastic lil light. Packs a punch. I?ve used it as a key and a fill with domes it works really well for most of my needs and I have a 120d mk2 as well. I?ve found it packs well into the same bag as my 120d if I remove the reflector which I never really use. Makes a good duo, and I tend to use the lil lume panel pro RGB as my hair light. Compactish collection. I?d love to see Aputure make a separate bag (like the 120d bag) for 2-3 of these cob lights. I?d buy one.

The amaran COB 60x is an ultra-compact bi-color LED video light with surprising output and full Bowens Mount versatility. The amaran COB 60x is the latest point source LED video light from the amaran COB series, featuring a 65W bi-color output. The 60x is as compact as a camera, weighing in at a featherweight 675 grams (1.49 pounds), with dimensions just over 11x11x11cm (4x4x4 inches). The COB 60x's small stature contains a powerhouse LED., reaching up to 37,775 lux at 1 meter, with the specially designed 15 Degree Hyper Reflector (Mini), all while maintaining pristine color quality with CRI and TLCI scores of 96+. Equipped with a full-size Bowens Mount, the amaran COB 60x is compatible with the largest selection of modifiers on the market, including the Aputure Light Dome SE, Light Dome Mini II, and Aputure Lantern, making it an incredibly versatile multi-tool.

Its compact body houses an intuitive LCD screen and control knob interface that seamlessly blends into the body of the fixture. The control knob can adjust the light in 1% increments and can be clicked to toggle through CCT & intensity presets quickly. Using its integrated Sidus Mesh technology, the COB 60x can also be controlled by the Sidus Link App, granting it access to 9 lighting effects, including Paparazzi, Fireworks, Lightning, Faulty Bulb, TV, Pulse, Strobe, Explosion, and Fire. The user-friendly Sidus Link App allows users to adjust their settings without ever leaving their camera. The amaran COB 60x is also the perfect light for creating on the move. In addition to the included AC Power supply, creators can power it using the Dual Sony NP-F Battery Plate or a D-Tap Battery (cable sold separately), which can easily be attached to the V-Mount Quick Release, located on the side of the unit for easy operation.
