Unlike conventional gender bender cables or DI boxes, the AV Direct stands out with its ability to accept virtually any input connection and output level. This includes amplified speaker outputs, making it a versatile tool for any audio-visual setup. It also features remote level control, providing the convenience of adjusting the volume of your component at the source. This eliminates the need for adjustments in an AV room, audio closet, or installation rack.

Equipped with stereo RCA, 1/8th inch, and 1/4-inch TRS line level inputs, the AV Direct offers a variety of connection options. It also includes 1/4-inch and bare wire pressure clip speaker level inputs for added flexibility. A switchable 4.8kHz high cut filter, ground lift, and variable level control are included, allowing the AV Direct to effectively filter out any extraneous unwanted noise. This ensures a clean and clear audio output while offering variable volume control at the source.

The speaker level inputs are heavily padded and transformer isolated from the XLR output. This allows amplified speaker level (up to 100 watts @ 8 ohms) to be tapped off and sent to a microphone level input.
