After careful design and engineering, the ART dADB Dual Active Direct Box emerges as a high-quality, professional-grade tool for audio conversion. This versatile device functions as two independent active interfaces, adept at connecting instrument, line, or speaker level signals to balanced inputs.
Constructed with durable, high-quality materials, the dADB Dual Active Direct Box features high-impedance 1/4-inch inputs. These are buffered and transformed by ultra-low noise active electronics, delivering isolated, balanced, and low-impedance outputs. The result is an acoustically transparent DI solution, offering an impressively flat and wide frequency response, even at high input levels.
The dADB Dual Active Direct Box is designed to accommodate a broad range of source signal levels, thanks to its input attenuation on each channel. It also includes independent parallel thru jacks, allowing for easy tapping into the signal chains.
For those seeking to reduce hum and ground-loop noise, each channel is equipped with a Ground Lift. This feature enables complete separation of the input and output signal grounds, effectively isolating two systems when necessary.
The dADB Dual Active Direct Box also includes switchable low pass Bessel filters, designed to eliminate high-frequency interference. These complex, effective filter circuits operate outside of the audio range, primarily targeting and eliminating radio frequency interference. This makes the dADB an ideal DI solution for laptops, computer workstations, and peripherals, especially when used in stereo PA applications.
Powering the dADB's active circuitry is a breeze, with options for phantom power or an internal 9V battery when external power is not available. Its low current draw (less than 7.5 mA) ensures long-lasting operation, providing over 100 hours of use with a new battery (alkaline recommended).
Encased in a compact, all-steel black case, the dADB Dual Active Direct Box promises unmatched long-term reliability. Whether it's for live sound, permanent/fixed install, DJ setups, or virtually any PA application, the dADB stands as a reliable, professional choice.
