Purchased the Amaran 200x a few weeks back and have done a least 15 interviews with it and it has performed flawlessly. The fan has come on a couple of times but worked out perfectly because of the in-app settings to manage the sound. Overall a great addition to my kit!

It's great for the cost - the actual light quality is great and it packs a lot of punch for 200W. I haven't noticed any hue shift or color cast using it with its standard dish or many different modifiers. I just wish the build quality was slightly better. Would definitely recommend

Oh, if your overlooking this light because it doesn't say Lightstorm 300X... then your doing it wrong! There are only three advantages that the Apurture 300X has over this: all metal build and battery option and at three times the price! (Uhh, that last one isn't an advantage). If your not in trying to use a V-Mount solution, or your do youtube or other fast content... this light is for you! One of the best features is the Sidus link app... it actually makes this unit even better. Look, its time to ignore the 60watt cheap LED units and move up to something more powerful and capable for content and film short film creation. Get it!

Hands down one of the best bang for your buck LED lights out there. 200 watts and bi color makes it a very versatile light for interviews. And the Bluetooth control with the Sidus link app is incredible. I can look at the monitor and adjust the intensity and color temp from my phone. I've had four lights on the app at one time and could do my fine tuning without having to go back and forth. The only thing I wish was different is the plastic body. I of course wish it was metal, but for around $300 it's hard to beat.

The 200X bicolor light produces a nice even output at all kelvins. With a SSI (Tungsten) of 86 and a SSI (D56) of 75, you would expect the color to be more accurate at the tungsten range. This would be typical of most bicolor COB lights. To my eye, however, the colors appeared more accurate, more saturated, and more pleasing at 6500K following an eyedropper WB in Adobe Camera Raw. I am not knowledgeable enough to explain it. I think that the build quality of the light is good at it's price. The power cord from the power brick to the wall outlet is unusually short at about 5 feet, but this can be easily corrected with a suitable gauge extension cord. The fan noise is good, I think. It doesn't come with a padded case, remote control, or the ability to take V-mount or NPF batteries. I also had a pocket size Amaran battery light which failed. As per their request, I sent it with RMA to their California headquarters for replacement. After putting the light in the mail and sending them the tracking number, Aputure quit responding to emails. They kept my light and neither repaired nor replaced it. Knowing that, I think that you have to expect that you may not receive any warranty beyond what Adorama provides and you risk losing your light if you send it in for service.

I love these lights. I bought a pair of them to use in cross-key lighting scenarios that I encounter frequently. They're light-weight, quiet, and cheap. And they won't melt your modifiers, either. What more could you ask for?

I've purchased two of these lights. They are an excellent alternative to the LS series for those on a budget. They are made of plastic, so the durability might be an issue. However, I use them mostly in a static placement. Perfect for what I need. At $350 USD, you would be hard-pressed to find a better light. Color accuracy is as good as the higher-priced Apurture lights AND...these are usually available. Sidus Link compatible too...can't sing these praises enough.

If you have been hunting around (like I have) for a way to upgrade your studio lighting (beyond that weird insufficient crap on Amazon) but aren't quite ready to spend at the professional photographer or "Influencer-who-has-100k-1mm-followers" level, this sites in that sweet-spot. Low noise, ease of use, one-time setup and leave it up. Probably want to think about getting a better stand, that lightweight stuff that you got elsewhere to hold am 8-10" LED light is not going to cut it once you put a soft box on this thing. Light enough to move aside, quick click through 20%-40%-60%-80%-100% brightness levels. All around solid product, great price. Thanks Adorama, will be shopping here more often!

Great light. Powerful output. Love the ability to change color temperature with a twist of the dial. I prefer it over the 120d now. Less cumbersome than the 120d which utilizes a hefty dimmer box.

I am surprised and how bright this light is. The price is good. The connectivity with sidus link is great. It is light weight. Ding one star because Aputure provides no phone support. Only support you might get is from a Facebook community. Also unit had a little dirt on it from the factory.

The Amaran 200x is so incredibly powerful! I used this on an interview shoot, turned it to 50% and the client could not believe how bright their living room lit up! Being able to adjust the CCT between 2700K and 6500K is a HUGE help and I have absolutely no complaints. It's a powerful, bright and cost effective light that I use on all of my shoots!

These are great, work as described, no complaints. I have three 200x?s and a 300Dii as my key. They are reasonably bright and not too loud and super flexible. Life is good when all your lights are on Sidus link.
