With the TPS II 2-Channel Tube Preamplifier System with V3 Variable Valve Voicing, you can add a rich warmth and texture to your audio, making it the perfect preamp for any application. This high-performance, professional-grade preamp is powered by a meticulously hand-selected 12AX7A tube, integrated into the low noise input circuitry, ensuring a clean and clear sound.
The TPS II stands out with its innovative V3 (Variable Valve Voicing) technology, a proprietary feature of Art Pro Audio. This technology offers optimized reference points, crafted and fine-tuned by leading studio and live-sound engineers, to kickstart your recording process. With V3, you can choose from a wide array of presets designed for various instruments including guitars (both electric and acoustic), keyboards, bass guitars, drums, and vocals, making this preamp a versatile choice for any musician or sound engineer.
Another unique feature of the TPS II is its variable input impedance. This feature allows you to alter the sonic potential of the preamp, changing the way the microphone reacts to the preamp's load. This results in a broad spectrum of new sonic possibilities with any modern or vintage condenser, ribbon, or dynamic microphone. The variable impedance control is infinitely adjustable, providing fine-tuned control and the ability to optimize the preamp to your microphone's ideal sweet spot.
The TPS II is designed to handle high dynamic range, accepting up to +20dB peaks while maintaining over 120dB dynamic range with incredibly low distortion. It also features an Input LED metering system that monitors the signal level of the input amplifier, ensuring maximum gain without clipping the preamp at the input.
The TPS II also includes ART's proprietary OPL (Output Protection Limiter), a crucial feature that accurately controls and maintains the output peak signal, protecting the next link in your signal chain. This is particularly useful when working with hard-disk recording systems or sound cards, as it prevents digital clipping, which can damage your monitors' tweeters.
Finally, the TPS II features a versatile insert loop on each channel for additional signal processing or direct access to the high-quality A/D converter. Separate gain controls on analog and digital outputs allow you to optimize the unit for simultaneous applications, making the TPS II a durable and flexible solution for your audio needs.
