I purchased several of these UPSs for my home office and networking equipment. It has been a great addition. My home has poor quality power which affects my computer and sound system. After adding the UPS, I have had no issues. Additionally, the LCD screen allows me to quickly and easily check the UPS status, run time, and power input/output analytics. It has allowed me to work through several small power outages and kept me from losing internet connection. My oldest one is going on 5 years on the original battery without a single issue. I could not recommend this UPS highly enough.

Reliable back up battery that I would recommend to a friend. I'm a private customer using the back up battery for non-business purposes. I'm using the product as back up for a desktop computer. Unit received 07/01/2024, installed 07/05/2024. Working properly. So far computer and communications equipment has 100% up time. I have installed/used APC products in the past for employers and this was the reason I chose APC for home. Easy setup and it is working well. Instructions are easy to follow. Would recommend expanded instructions if using this unit to manage power spikes for Ethernet cable into/out of UPS unit as it relates to the ground terminal screw. I called APC technical and finally got an explanation what this ground screw is used for, but not much explanation how to connect it to house ground. At this time, I am not using this feature.

I won't give 5 stars yet as I've not had it long enough. It was pretty easy to purchase, and the installation was straightforward as was the registration & software download. I have used APC / Schneider Electric battery back up UPS units going on 25 years and never had a problem that was not easily fixed in a timely fashion. My last died after 13 years service . . . I'm a fan!

Excellent product, easy purchase experience on the web, quick delivery. Still, I miss the days when I could just get one at CostCo when one of the 6 I use die after ~10yrs of use. The price is also much higher than it used to be, possibly due to delivery costs.

I have only had this unit for about a week, but has worked great so far. Much better than the BGM1500B which immediately arc flashed upon first use. I returned that without any issue but could not get the newer version BGM1500B-US at the APC web-site or any of their affiliates that I have heard of (only one affiliate claimed to have them in stock, but I did not want to order from a business that is completely unknown to me).

While the number of potentially suitable APC UPS offerings is a bit over whelming, the website is well-organized, so once I narrowed down what I was looking for, I found it quickly. The purchase process was surprisingly smooth, I was felt informed as to the status of my order via email, and the UPS was delivered by UPS right in the estimated date of delivery I was given. (Sorry, I couldn't help myself with the "the UPS was delivered by UPS".) I have learned, the hard way over the years to buy a little more UPS than I think I need in terms of surge plus backup outlets, and more battery support runtime than I think I need. Better a little too much than a little too little. APC has served me well since I purchased my first computer in 1992. I endorse the APC / Back-UPS brand.

I know there are a lot of positive reviews about APC and its products but as a first-timer into the UPS space I'm beyond unimpressed. Not only has the unit failed to switch between battery and wall power fast enough to prevent a sudden computer shutdown during an outage on multiple occasions ( the sole purpose for this product existing), but the quality and design of the product need to seriously be reviewed by APC Engineers. I Purchased this product less than three years ago, and in that time I have gone through three units. My first one shut off during a power outage and refused to turn back on. After being sent a replacement free of charge the second unit was dead on arrival, and after receiving a third unit that powered on I thought all was well. Then less than 10 months later I turned off the unit to relocate it in my apartment, and upon trying to turn it back on it started smoking with a horrible odor and set off the fire alarms. I'm almost certain a capacitor blew (Which is toxic) and means I now will have to put up with a 4th unit in less than 3 years. I want to say I'm just seriously unlucky but I've seen numerous reviews and discussions on other sites about this same issue, and customers going through 2-7 units in the lifespan of one battery (3-4 years). This unit has numerous flaws from mosfets cracking from being at the upper limit of their rating, to capacitors blowing from once again being stressed to their upper limit, to the PCB itself being of poor quality and resembling a "90's hand-soldered PCB" quoting a review on amazon with photos to match. For the (Pro) badge and this being APC's most expensive consumer household product I find this to be a disgrace and a cash grab more than a renowned product meant to have any vital/important equipment attached to it. Its ONLY saving grace is the connected equipment insurance policy that comes with the product, but what's the point of buying this product if it just increases the likelihood of damaging your equipment? I'm likely never returning to APC unless they can get this hot mess express turned around. I honestly suggest just a high-end surge protector and a high-quality PC power supply, while it sucks that your pc will still shut off unexpectedly, at least it greatly decreases your chances of failing and damaging sensitive, well-made electronics.

I have several higher models without any issues. It is new in the box. Set it up and the red wire won't connect. No matter what I do, I can not get the red wire connected to the battery. Frustrated, I have 7 larger units without any issues. This BR1000MS is DOA. Now I registered it to get it replaced because I'm out of the replacement with Amazon. Next time, check your product right away to make sure it is good.

Overall, like most APC devices, this is a great device. I have a previous model design for this UPS and I love the newer design except for one thing - the battery hookup. Hooking up the battery on the previous design was much easier, now it requires messing with an actual wire which isn't a bad thing in general, but APC made the wire length awkward, too stiff, and with a very weak outer sheath that is surrounded by sharp plastic. Trying to hook up the battery without damaging the wire was an absolute chore I don't wish to do again.

I have bought at least three different UPSs, and they have been excellent every time. The website does a great job of helping you to choose a UPS that meets your needs. I have bought two for servers, and one for an individual workstation. If you go with the default setup (which always seems to work great), it is super easy to use. I live in a rural area where power quality is variable, and with frequent 30 second outages, flickers, etc. I have no doubt that these UPSs have extended the life of my equipment.

I have previuosly owned 6 apc back ups units of various input outputs. This purchase is to replace an older 1000va. The new 1000va ups pro is as advertised. Simple setup and connection. After setting up the unit and testing, all worked as it should. The price point was an added bonus to the unit and features at time of purchase. I always buy apc for the quality and ease of battery replacement.

I got this APC Back-UPS Pro 1500VA/900W Tower to protect and provide battery backup for all of my office devices during thunderstorms and power outages and it works great! With 10x NEMA 5-15R outlets and USB Type A + C ports I'm able to plug all my devices in including 2 monitors, 2 laptops, 2 bluetooth headsets, wireless keyboard, cable modem, wifi router, and charging cords for cellphones, tablets, etc. And the other day when I did experience a power outage it did keep all the devices in my office up and running until power came back within a few hours. The LCD display also provided the handy battery backup level status I needed and I found it also had a "mute" button to disable the beeping that most units like these send out during outages that was very handy during my last power outage. With this Back-UPS Pro i'll never have to worry about power outages or unsafe voltage levels effecting any of my powered devices in my office ever again! Thank-you APC! 5 Stars!!

I work in IT and work from home 100% of the time. I got this to power my equipment and it's been working fantastic. The USB port on the front is an added bonus and super convenient to keep my phone charged during the day. You can't go wrong with APC.

When we have power outages, which we get quite a lot in our area, electronics can get ruined with power surges. I've had that happen go me. I've decided to get this power tower to protect my electronics from getting damaged. Whenever we have power outages, internet goes out which makes me stop my work. With the tower, I can connect my modem to it and have uninterrupted internet service. When I am working and power goes out , everything goes out. With this power tower I can plug everything in and it can keep running for some time. Phones and tablets can get charged fully quickly as well as other battery operated electronics. I have been using APC backups for about 15 years and have never looked back. This is another great addition and is used in our living room setup. It does not last anywhere near as long as it is advertised for but that is to be expected based on load. We use it for cases that the power trips, so that we can shut everything down correctly and safely.

Some things you don't know you need until you have one, this is one of those things. A must have if you work from home, are a student or an avid gamer in an area prone to power outages. Can power your TV or even a desktop with internet connection as well for anywhere from 94 minutes on, depending on how many items are plugged in and needing the power. It's nice to have the backup even just temporarily to help you get anything you need done in the unfortunate event of an outage. Takes about 24 hours to get a full charge on the unit itself which is fine because the battery stays strong .

After hooking up all of my computer devices to this product and letting it run for over a well, I cut power to the outlet it was plugged in to and it work exactly as intended. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to stay online during a power outage.

Plugged it multiple sources to this UPS; Computer/TV/Audio Receiver/Cable Modem. Since I didn't have a power outage to test, I pulled the power. This did not disappoint. No temporary power loss and maintained it's battery life as needed until I plugged it back in from a brief amount of time. Great alternative to a standard power strip, especially when you don't want interruptions.
