Reasonable product, but trying purchase experience

The product is a 3 year extension of the warranty for an APC Smart UPS, in my case an SMT1500C. The product is reasonable for those who want to have the certainty of warranty coverage for the unit and its battery for another 3 years. The purchase process, however, is very trying. Adorama sent my purchase to APC for fulfillment. However, after more than a week I had no word on its status, and my current warranty was about to expire. Fortunately, the Adorama people followed up for me and gave me an estimated delivery date 15 days after my purchase. When it finally arrived, the website that is used to activate it was out of service for a least the 2 days I tried. I had to call APC and have them manually activate, which took another week. Finally, I have my warranty registered. Surely this could be handled in a better way.
