This one looks a bit odd but is extremely helpful in certain situations. The row of three widely-spaced outlets is perfect if you have the block-shaped plugs that are powering your equipment. You won't lose any available outlets - as a typical surge protector configuration would force you to lose access to another with a block plug. Excellent design even though it has a non-traditional look/shape.

I just wanted to add my 5 star rating to the Pro8. I've owned two for many, many years. I've never had a problem with them. I rarely use the front button. Either my equipment is on 24/7 or if I go on vacation, I unplug it from the wall. Therefore, I've not experienced any button problems that has been mentioned. I really like the number of outlets and the three spaced for large power adapters. I've never run out of space plugging my stuff in to these. I recently purchased another for a family member after their unprotected equipment got zapped.

These are great - I have purchased and used several of these in my home, as well as my mom's, and my friends. They have been very reliable, and I like the styling - which is important to me - it would be great to see a lot more of APC's offerings being made in the USA though - we can use the jobs!

We recently had a big thunderstorm where the power went down and up quickly several times before staying down. This surge protector protected our new computer although it actually gave it's life in the process. I had no problem buying the exact same unit to replace it.
