Recently had a power Outage with multiple brown outs until 2 quick flickerings then hearing a snap, crackle and pop. Device did prevent damage to my electronics. Did not know the surge protector was no good until I attempted to plug it in again since the power box breaker tripped and heard a very loud frizzling sound.

I got this Surge Protector with a Gateway Computer 22 years ago. It's been holding on through many new homes, even spills of juice/water/wine. Last night, it got so windy here, the power went out and there was a pop and a flash and I smelled an electrical burning smell and I knew it was gone. I reset the breaker this morning and hoped for it to still be alive. But it was gone. Today is trash/recycling day. I will have to say goodbye after 23 years. Not sure how long these things are SUPPOSED to last, but it lasted longer than the Gateway Computer (which died after 5 years) LOL. I definitely think you guys should bring it back. The slightly compact shape and push button on the front were the best. I'm shopping for a replacement now, wishing I could get the same one. Hopefully there is something just a good, if not better.

We have had this for a couple of years in the sewing room. Had the power go out, and when it came back on... poof, crackle, pop, then the circuit breaker popped. I would have thought the surge protector would have popped, but nope.

We experienced a surge from a power company issue and the whole neighborhood had claims for fried equipment. Not me! Had multiple of these around my house and they provided the protection I needed. Immediately replaced them because they work!

Needed another Surge Arrest to replace an older APC of similar design that I moved to use for another purpose. This one works well, but I wish that it had a couple of "always on" outlets, but don't really need them for what I am using it for. One other slight complaint is that the indicator that shows the unit is "on" does not light up like the old one does. Hard to tell if it is on or off.

Works as intended, Like the way its arranged to allow different size plugs to fit. Nice cord length. I recommend this and will be buing it again.

I bought this for my mother a few years back and turned around and had to purchase one for myself. We both fell in love with the durability of the product. Both of the protectors lasted 10 years and through out that time it has save my computer many many times. Now I need another one :)

This appears to be a perfect design for a wall or desk mounted computer or stereo multi extension with surge protection. Some of my favourite features are the angled, wide base for 3 transformer chargers, the on/off quick switch with lock and the strong wall mounting provisions- made for a #8 pan head screw of suitable length to hit a beam on your wall. One item i would like to see is a mounting template added to the cardboard cover.this is mentioned in the instructions, but sadly not included. One can make their own template by tracing the mounting slots carefully and then transferring them to cardboard. The unit works quite well.

We had a dramatic, direct lightning strike to a large tree in our back yard. The tree was large, but the bolt of lightning exploded it and threw spears of wood HUNDREDS of feet in every direction. We lost over $3000 worth of electronic equipment that was "protected" by belkin products, but the items that were plugged into our larger APC XS 1300 and the smaller APC Professional SurgeArrest, 8 outlet product were TOTALLY UNHARMED. I'm sold. I'm only purchasing APC products from now on. Thank you APC!!
