Finally achieved ?the look? I?ve been trying to emulate from YouTubers I follow. I?m a streamer and content creator. Paired with the Amaran 200X and the honeycomb filter - it?s hard to beat. I compared it with the mini II and there was really no comparison as far as overall look. I also wanted this one over the other big Dome as I may move it from time time and the other Dome with the fiberglass rods is lighter and cheaper but I opted to for bigger/sturdier ? read too many reviews of little pieces breaking on the other Dome.

Works really well. Honestly, I just knew it had all the extra diffusion vs other brands including one close to the led chip and two on the end of the softbox itself. I assume they packed two so I could double it up and it looks amazing.

The second generation of the Aputure Light Domes are a major improvement. Much faster set up and the included gel holder and grid are super convenient. Yeah, you can buy cheaper knock offs, but the build quality of the Aputure Light Dome is well worth the money. Highly recommended!

This softbox is great! It is a super easy set-up and breakdown. No more rod nightmares! My only beef is that it is fairly deep when set-up. Not great in tight spaces. Other than that, I highly recommend it! The Gel/Filter holder is a nice addition, and it also comes with the external Grid. No extras needed (other than gels). Folded up and in the bag for transport measures just over 8" in diameter (it is round) and about 34" long. Two thumbs up!!

This is THE light dome for those wanting to enhance both their video and photography at a mid-range budget. Great, compact design and nice carrying case make it a breeze to transport for shoots. Casts a delicate, evenly dispersed light with my LS 120d II. SO easy to set up and tear down, as well. Love it.

Great upgrade to the Light Dome one. Makes setup super simple and easy to attach to any Bowens mount light! I use these on my aputure and Godox Lights and don't have any issues with them.

This is a great improvement over the original Light Dome. MUCH easier and faster to set up and tear down, with a convenient filter holder. The 2 grades of diffusion and black grid seem to be high quality and work work. I like it so much that I bought a second one. I will also replace my original version Light Dome Mini with the new version. The new design is so much better!

It wasn't until i used this the first time that i realized what the fuss was all about. Sure, i thought it would save me a little time, and was nicely built, was affordable etc. etc. and it is all that. But when i saw the initial images i saw that it produced such an amazing light character that not only am i blown away by the quality, but it's something i talk about far too often and recommend! I go the larger one, and think it's probably the better way to go. The options of light shaping with the included grid just are the best! or double diffusion etc. the storage bag is nice quality, A TINY bit shorter than i'd like however, i do like to collapse it down with the diffusion and grid still attatched and put that in the bag, and it fits well, but does require a little bit of "stuffing" the grid end around the zipper's most open point. all in all i'd say 8/10 (nothing is 10/10 yet) things that could improve: 1. more robust joints for the quick open hinge, feels like i can't press too hard on them 2. storage bag about 2-3 inches longer 3. inside diffusion arm-things are too skinny, afraid they'll eventually snap 4. would love to have a wrap tie on it, similar to how every umbrella has to hold it closed.

Amazing softbox. The circular and the almost parabolic shape makes the 300d2 incredible. Amazing light shape and in eye reflections. I love it. It’s also a big improvement over the first version. Although the only downside to the easier setup is that it’s quite large and doesn’t break down really (it does collapse). So I often have to travel with it in the flight case with my tripods (and it barely fits there.

The Light dome II is a little large but the light quality from such a huge diffusion source is amazing. It wraps around the subject quite nicely, as well as it’s incredibly easy to setup and breakdown. Highly recommend.
