I needed a great durable day bag that I could carry my DSLR with a 70-200mm lens attached, my filters, lens cleaning supplies, extra battery, and SD cards. This bag is awesonme for carrying those items I need for a sports photoshoot when I don't need to have all my lenses. The adjustable padded baffles allows the large lens to be cradled securely, but still gives me quick access to the camera. Bag includes enough pockets and storage compartments for all my accessories for the day. I especially appreciate the straps included for a monopod attachment. With the adjustable compartments on the interior, I can adjust the bag to carry everything I need for the day. Whether using my 35mm lens or the 70-200mm zoom lens, it adjusts for each condition. The bag construction is as sturdy as you can get with zippers, clips and flaps to protect your gear inside the bag. This bag might eventually replace my back pack bag when I travel.

I got mine a couple years ago, and I'm just now getting around to writing a review. It's held up beautifully in that time. Not a single issue whatsoever. Whether you're packing an SLR, or a DSLR, there's plenty of room for a couple bodies, several lenses, and more. For example, I keep mine packed with a Minolta SR-T 101, 58mm MC Rokkor-PF f/1.4, 135mm MC Tele-Rokkor-PF f/2.8, Nikon D5100, 50mm AF-S Nikkor f/1.4G, about 15 rolls of 35mm film, light meter, external flash, and various other necessities. The tripod straps are also great. The shoulder strap is comfortable, and the rubberized pad keeps slippage at bay. The interior of the bag is bright yellow, so you can easily see whatever it is you're storing, and the padding arrangement is customizable. The exterior is rugged and durable. Normally, I'd say that for its price, this is a fantastic bag, but even if the price were higher, this would still qualify as a fantastic bag.

Pretty well made and although small, has a place for most everything. The shoulder strap is non-slip and conforms to your shoulder instead of just a straight strap. The bright yellow inside makes finding things easier than if it were also black or a dark color.

If I were to design this bag I would make a tan version that is very popular on [@] by Senyx. They keep running out and aren't very good at customer relations which is why I bought this one. I like the safari look of it and think this company would do well with it's own version of this. Also I'm still playing around with the compartments to better fit my D200. Getting it in & out is a little tight. But I like the quality and ease of carrying it with the shoulder strap. I used to own a huge LowePro and this helps keep my kit to a reasonable level.

Perfectly holds my D5000, sb700 flash and filters and 70-300 zoom lens with hood. Good extra room for filters and batteries along with charging unit for camera. I did cut off the two snaps on the ends as they aren't needed and only get in the way. I did put the lens hood and filters for the flash in an adjustable compartment that could hold one more lens but then you can't bring the other stuff. Compartments can be configured but once things are in place there is not much adjustment left.

Thought this one good enough, but I should buy another higher model. It is bigger enough to carry like D7000 + 35mmf1.8 and an SB900, but not enough for D7000 + Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5 - 5.6G + SB900. The website should give more suggestions on which gadget buys would like to fit

I use a Canon 40D. This case easily fits my camera with standard zoom attached along with 3 additional favorite lenses AND a 430EX II flash. The interior is also configurable to your preferences. The height doesn't allow me to close the bag fully if my telephoto zoom is attached to my camera, unless I configure it to let my camera lay flat. That, however, results in a loss of space for 1 or 2 lenses (or the flash). And then there are pockets. There is a huge, almost awkward pocket along the front, one on the side, one each on the inside and outside cover flap, and then a clear/mesh pocket on the inside cover. All of this means LOTS of storage space, and that potentially means a lot of wear on your shoulder. If you're going to be out walking a lot, through a metropoltin area or a trail, I would recommend either a backpack or limiting what you carry. The bag is a Medium, but it's large enough to be noticeable anywhere you carry it. This is no small tote. The strap is easily adjustable, sturdy, and fairly comfortable. Overall, the construction looks and feels solid and durable. I like the addition of a little slot on the inside flap to hold your business cards. That is a nice extra touch.

I spent a lot of time researching camera cases and the Ape was just the obvious choice. Love the bright yellow inside, won't lose things in that! And the fact that it's totally adjustable means that I can choose which camera to take and adjust the case to fit one or more cameras for the trip. Lots of pockets/storage spaces both inside and out. Love it!

In the type of photography that I do (Photojournalism), you need a bag that protects your equipment and it's also easy to carry.

I purchased this case for carrying and storing my newly aquired Pentax k7. I was waivering a little bit between this and the small size, and am glad I went with the medium. It has extra space in the main compartment right now for when I add some lenses to my equipment. My camera fits very nicely in the divided main area. The bag has plenty of pockets and good ones in the front for easy access. I've had this out in the rain and have dropped the bag with my camera in it, and no damage has been done. This is a good, sturdy bag for carrying my equipment to class and for storage. The strap is also nice and gel-like, although I think I attached it so the curved bit is opposite of what it should be.

Although I have not had the case for long enough to see how it will hold up, it looks to be well constructed. The case can accommodate a camera with lens attached with a width up to 6in., a height up to 7in. (There is an adjustable divider for the camera base to sit on so most cameras can be stored with a battery grip installed), and a depth of 7in. (can be 8in. by removing a divider and still allow storage of 2 extra 3in. diameter by about 7in. lenses). The opening for the lens on the camera is also 3in. There is additional storage under the lens that is on the camera for filters, etc. There is a zippered net pouch in the top cover and 2 additional zippered pouches one on the inside and the other on the outside of the front flap to store small things like memory cards, etc. There are larger zippered pouches on both the front and one side that can hold larger items such as power adapters, chargers, spare batteries, and cables. The other side has a net pouch with a pull rope closure for quick temporary storage of things like lens caps at the shoot site. It also has straps on the front to hold a small tripod. If you don't need to take more than three lenses, this case is excellent to store all that you will likely need for a local shoot such as a wedding or other event and you can store your camera ready for use with lens and battery grip, etc. installed. It is well padded, so it is a good case to use for storage between shoots also. It does have a comfortable handle on the top to carry the case for reasonable distances into and out of local shoots, but it would not be a good case to take on a shoot, out in the wilderness because the shoulder strap is not comfortable enough for long hikes. A good backpack case is better for that

I needed a new bag to replace my well-worn previous bag. After doing some research and knowing I didn't want to spend long money for a new bag, I found this Ape Case. The price is right and it easily and handily adjusts to fit my DSLR with lens on, a separate lens, and all my various accoutrements. I love the bright interior which makes finding what I need a breeze. The bag seems well padded and well constructed. I haven't yet had much call to lug the bag around yet, but already I can tell there'll be a big improvement in comfort over my old one. I suspect I'll get much more longevity out of this bag over my old one which gave out at the seams in just a little over a year. I have already recommended this bag to others!

I'm very tough on bags. This bag is protecting a sizable investment. Its well constructed, water proof. Size is according to task used for. I have some other bags, some larger, some smaller, none that has met up with this one for the dollar.
