I bought these gloves prior to my trip to Churchill canada to see the polar bears. I also took my heavy winter gloves, which stayed in my pocket since these gloves were good enough even though the temperature was 10 F. The finger openings were perfect and quite practical to take pictures and bring your fingers back in right away.

I've been photographing the winter in Hokkaido, Japan and Yellowstone National park for the last few years. This is by far the best functional winter gloves. This is my third pair. It so good I travel with a spare just in case.

I have been using these gloves all winter and they work well. The only problem I had was when the temps dropped to below zero, they didn't keep my fingers toasty. I solved this problem with an inexpensive glove liner and cut out the tips of the index finger and thumb.

I frequently photograph sporting events such as soccer and football outdoors during cold weather. I need a good pair of gloves that allow me to have access to my forefinger and thumb to operate my camera. These gloves do exactly that, however I was disappointed by the grip as it is not as good as I'd hoped. In addition, these gloves are warm, but not designed for extreme cold. But the main issue I have is that the holes that allow my forefinger and thumb to come through are so small. The gloves fit just right (I measured my hand before ordering), but the hole is so small that the circulation to my fingertips is somewhat restricted. This means that I can only have my fingers through the holes for limited amounts of time. To be fair, maybe I'm not positioning my fingers right in the holes. I'm not giving up on the gloves, rather I'll be trying different options to make them work since I like them overall. I have even considered cutting the hole to make it larger, but would only do so as a last resort. I also have to accept that maybe my fingers are a little chubbier than normal :). In general, I would recommend these gloves to photographers or others who need fingertip control while outside during cold weather.

These gloves are fantastic! Nicely grip the camera. Easy to use finger holes to manipulate camera. Elastic wrist strap is adjustable to fit wrist. Very warm. Works well in Ohio's winter climate.

Glove fit well, though small wrist opening made it difficult to get hand in. Cords on gloves just got in the way; I cut mine off. Interesting approach to finger holes but ultimately I'd prefer a more "skin tight" glove although these are very warm.

In the dead of winter, photographers may not want to take their gloves off to operate their cameras’ external controls or touch-operated LCDs. Here's a handy guide to photographer-friendly gloves.
