Box came a bit dinged up but overall good. Paper performed as expected but needed to develop for longer than recommended on spec sheet in D76.

Still learning how to use this paper. Claims to be both OC and red light safe. Some fogging with the OC filter. Needs about one additional filter number to get the desired contrast I used to get with other papers. Appears that there has been a recent change in the emulsion across several paper suppliers I have used. Better than some recent experiences I have had with other brands. Still a good value for the price.

I tried this photopaper in the lab and outside in the sun. I am very pleased with my results: clarity, development times and other important factors exceeded my results. Good paper, I need more!

I liked the finish on this paper - it was easy to use, obvious which side is emulsion in darkroom. Worked well

An economical paper. Good DMax. Decent highlights. Works well with split grade printing and also works well with Polyphenol developers. And reasonably priced as well.

Why settle for less when you can have the best The Arista.EDU Ultra VC RC is a high-quality, versatile, and professional-grade variable contrast black and white enlarging paper. With a medium weight and polyethylene coated base, this durable paper is designed to deliver exceptional results for your photographic printing needs.
This glossy paper is not just any ordinary paper. It offers a unique feature of contrast control, allowing you to adjust the contrast from grade 0 through grade 5 using standard Ilford Multigrade or Kodak Polymax/Polycontrast filters. You can also use an enlarger color head by adjusting the amount of magenta or yellow filters, giving you the flexibility to achieve the desired contrast similar to that of graded papers.
The Arista.EDU Ultra VC RC is designed for use with tungsten or tungsten quartz halogen light sources, ensuring optimal exposure for your prints. It's straightforward to use, with the exposure depending on the filter system in use. For Ilford Multigrade filters, grades 00 - 3.5 have the same speed rating (ISO P200), while grades 4 through 5 require approximately twice the exposure.
Handling this paper is a breeze in a photographic darkroom illuminated by standard OC, red, or sodium vapor safelights such as Thomas brand safelights. The paper should be kept at least 3 feet from the safelights to prevent fogging. If fogging occurs, simply dim your safelights or move them farther from the paper.
Processing the Arista.EDU Ultra VC RC is convenient, as it can be processed in either trays or roller transport processing machines. It can be developed in any standard black and white photographic paper developer, with a typical development time of 60 - 90 seconds at 68 Degree F/20 Degree C.
The Arista.EDU Ultra VC RC is also easy to store. Simply keep it in a cool, dry place for best preservation. For prolonged storage, a freezer can be used. Just ensure to allow sufficient time for warming up and prevent condensation from forming on the paper.
In summary, the Arista.EDU Ultra VC RC paper is a high-quality, durable, and versatile choice for professional photographers and graphic designers seeking to produce vibrant and accurate prints. Its unique features and easy handling make it a popular choice in the photography industry.
