For added convenience, external powering is possible over USB-C. The Lockit Slate Take 2 boasts improved resistance against humidity, thanks to its lip sealing around the LED display. It retains the simplicity of operation with three buttons, similar to the Lockit and NanoLockit. The innovative, mixed adaptive LED brightness mode allows you to manually set the desired brightness, with the display dynamically adapting to changing light situations.The Lockit Slate Take 2's revolutionary modular construction allows the electronic section to serve as a fully functional, compact standalone display for documentary or desktop use. Encased in a machined, pearl-blasted, and anodized aluminum body, it is built to withstand the toughest production conditions.This versatile tool also functions as a MIDI TC Display and Interface. It offers a variable timecode offset to compensate for the processing delays of digital cameras. When plugged into a computer, it transforms into a highly accurate MIDI timecode interface with LTC/MIDI timecode conversion and a large TC LED display. This feature enables the Lockit Slate Take 2 to sync multiple cameras with a Pro Tools workstation.The Lockit Slate Take 2 comes with a solid handle that includes a fold-out stand (LS-HG1) and a 3/8" thread at the bottom. Customized or blanco slate boards are available on request, and CAD prints of the slate board are provided for personal constructions.
