Quality Control problem, noise, mess up a very useful device
I received the "new" turntable with a large v shaped scratch on the top surface. The device has a loud grinding noise when running. Once I gave it a test more than 1 minute of running I discovered that it always fails with a very loud grinding, rumbling noise when spun in one direction, but works in the other direction when run as long as 15 minutes (the longest I tested). So it is going to have to be sent back for an exchange or refund.
It's a shame because otherwise it would be a really useful device. Of course it should not be making so much noise even when it is spinning correctly, because for video it is a real problem.

works well for my very specific and limited use needs.
There are many limitations to this product. It makes noise so not great for video where you intend to use the captured sound. It is not adjustable in speed. I would prefer a slower rotation. It requires a very solid and level surface on which to rotate if you are putting more than 30lbs of weight on it or it will get stuck and grind. Knowing that you can live with these is essential. It will work for me.
