I purchased this machine specifically for work-related tasks that entail intensive data analysis and simulations. I'm an IT guy and I got this laptop to replace my current desktop and gaming laptop. Got the i9 and RTX 3070ti variant. This laptop has more than enough power than what I need. Great quality, and handles Triple A titles easy. Gets hot, but expected. I wish the i9-12900H supports undervolting to lower the temps a bit, but I'll make due with a cooling pad. It's much more powerful than my i7 8700k GTX 1080 desktop. Battery life is surprisingly good for a laptop with an i9. I sit around 4-5 hours web surfing. The 1440p 240hz screen is more than what I need, and the colors are rich as well. Loud fans is what to expect from a gaming laptop at this caliber. Gaming ramps up the fans and it's fairly audible. Recommend a headset to game. But again; it's to be expected with a gaming laptop. Not really an issue for me. But when I need to come into the office for work, it's uber silent. Fans barely come on. You can customize the fan profiles and RGB around the laptop too; probably the most stable software I've ever used for fan and custom controls. That's coming from an IT guy. Overall, I'm confident to say this machine is well worth the money. And will be good for my applications for years to come. Spend the extra money for this machine and do it right the first time. The people at ASUS have done good work with this one. My wallet hurts.

There's nothing bad about this laptop, I just wish there was a 120hz or 144hz option for the main display. It only had 60hz or 300hz with no options in Nvidia Control Panel to set a custom refresh rate.

Other than a few design issues, this is the best laptop I have ever owned. My review is 4 stars mainly for the design issues and one omission for the price, for a $4000 machine, omitting the webcam is a bad idea. As for design issues, the placement of the charging port is horrible, charging port needs to be either in the top corner or on the back side, not in the middle of the laptop where you rest your hand. Also, move the standard USB ports up out of the are where your mouse is, again, it just interferes with your hand, you have to basically work wide with the laptop, Huge chin on the main screen would have housed a web cam easily. The tilt on the 2nd screen is good, certainly helps, but 5 more degrees would have been perfect. There is also a software issue going between the two screens, but this is a windows issue that has not been fixed yet, your cursor gets stuck on the 2nd screen if you go too far to the left or right depending on how you set your screen layout. this is mainly a resolution issue when your main screen is 1080P and the 2nd screen is 4K Build quality is great, exterior design is good, not too flashy, keyboard is good as well,

The laptop is great. I am not a gamer and bought it as a device that should be the last computer I need. I am an aging retired guy who is an online news junkie and provide support to a couple of organizations that I belong to. This device replaces a Windows 7 laptop that had plenty of capacity for most my projects (website maint., financial analysis, writing, etc.,) but was worried about internet security and losing support for some of my critical applications. The second display is good. The angle is not as extreme as I thought (hoped) it might be, but a lot better than the Zenbook Duo that I had been looking at. With my aging eyesight, I still have to lean forward a bit to read some of the screens that are active on the second display, but the ability to have two concurrent windows rather than switching between windows is great for my workflows. I am still learning the ins and outs of Win 10 and this device, but after two weeks, the only thing I need the old system for is Windows 7 games <grin>. I may try installing a VM and consolidate Win10, Win 7 and Linux so I can clean up my office desk. All in all, an expensive purchase, but one that is proving its worth to me every day as I learn more about how to use it because I am probably only using a tenth of the capabilities of two screens, touch screen, etc.

A fantastic gaming machine. Am able to run most games maxed out or near maxed out. One star off because the second screen isn’t as useful as I thought it would be. You can’t fit example have a YouTube or guide on the screen because as soon as you mouse to it the game disappears

The 4K dual-screen variant GX550LXS is nothing short of a gem of a machine! It has mroe horse-power than I will have need of for some time in the future, and I will happily say that thus far I have yet to experience the Zephyrus Duo come close to even breaking a sweat with any task I've thrown at it.
