Great service
When I travel, it's nice to have have a light weight machine that will connect to the Internet for checking email, organizing photos and keeping in touch with the rest of the world. Not having a built-in CD is a minor inconvenience.
Using this unit on the plane is great. It fits easily into a side pocket of most carry-ons.
And the price, with rebate can't be beat.

Asus netbook a good investment
The Asus netbook is a handy little machine for computing. It is not a powerhouse by any means, and has a quirky touchpad but the convenience of a small machine easily accessed for web browsing and email makes me happy. It was a very good value.

Purchased in December 2009
This Asus EEE has quickly become my primary home computer. I have it on all the time and do nearly everything I need to do with it: email, web browsing, video watching, Facebook. I am a computer professional and have high expectations regarding technology: this machine meets my standards very well.

I Like It!
I like this netbook!
Bright display,bluetooth works perfect(no pairing codes needed)Battery life is very good.I was tried to watch movies after 3 hours on full charge this baby was still running.
Downsides: Only 2 USB ports,headphone,mike ports not color coded(hard to identify),fingerprints magnet

Perfect Companion
Bought this unit in October after a fair amount of research. Also purchased an external DVD-writer and a few minor accessories. Thought about an extra 1GB stick of RAM, but it seems fast enough.
A day of tweaking and installing my favorite software was time-consuming, but easy to do. (I uninstalled a lot of stuff as well) Gave it to my friend who grows increasingly fond of it with the passing days, once I showed her how to connect to wifi.
She keeps it with her for school and free wifi in the public libraries. She checks and responds to email, and creates documents in MS Word 2003.

i got an asus- it is a [$] paperweight
I got an Asus in July and was spending 2/3 of my time doing system restore. Then try to get support- I dare you. It is just a [$] paperweight and a lesson in the school of hard knocks.
