This amplifier is part of the NE Series, a line of multi-channel, network-enabled amplifiers designed around an energy-efficient Class-D platform with a switching power supply. The ne8250.70 amplifier simplifies the process of connecting and controlling an amplifier for networked systems, thanks to its compatibility with standard 10/100 Ethernet protocol and Protea ne Software. This means no special outboard control units are required, making it a user-friendly choice for both professionals and enthusiasts. This 8-channel power amplifier is capable of delivering a minimum power of 250 Watts RMS per channel into 70V loads with all channels operating. For more power, you can switch it into bridged-mono mode, where channels 1+2 or 3+4 or 5+6 or 7+8 can deliver at least 500 Watts RMS into a 140V load. The ne8250.70 amplifier comes with Euroblock input and output connectors and balanced analog inputs. It also features remote standby for power up, DC remote level control, and contact closure preset recall. For enhanced control and monitoring, this power amplifier offers Ethernet control of power functions, level, mute, polarity, temperature, current, and amplifier fault conditions. It ensures a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz +/-1.0dB and a Signal-to-Noise ratio greater than 105dB unweighted. The SMPTE intermodulation distortion is less than 0.5% into an 8 Ohm load, 10dB below rated output, ensuring clear and distortion-free audio. The front panel of the ne8250.70 amplifier provides the status of power, standby, protect, power switch disable, signal level, bridge, over-temperature, overcurrent, and Ethernet communication. This versatile amplifier can be customized with factory-installed AES3, CobraNet, or Dante interface options with the addition of two 4-Channel DAC cards. The ne8250.70 amplifier is designed to mount in a standard 19-inch rack using two spaces and weighs 24.7 pounds (11.2kg) or less, making it a compact and lightweight solution for your audio needs.
