This multi-channel, network-enabled amplifier is ingeniously crafted around an energy-efficient Class-D platform, complemented by a switching power supply.
The ne8250.70pe amplifier simplifies the process of connecting and controlling an amplifier for networked systems, offering ease of use, setup, and control via standard 10/100 Ethernet protocol and Protea ne Software. There's no need for special outboard control units, making it a user-friendly choice for both the ne4250 (4-channel) and ne8250 (8-channel) packages, each rated at 250W per channel.
This amplifier is available in two distinct platforms: the standard network amplifier and a network amplifier equipped with an on-board Protea DSP Processor. Customization is a breeze, with the option to add AES3 inputs, mic pre inputs, CobraNet, or Dante modules to suit any installation requirements.
The ne8250.70pe with DSP delivers a minimum power of 250 Watts RMS per channel into 70V loads with all channels operating. When switched into bridged-mono mode, it can deliver at least 500 Watts RMS into a 140V load. This power amplifier is equipped with Euroblock input and output connectors, balanced analog inputs, and remote standby for power up.
The amplifier offers Ethernet control and monitoring of power functions, level, mute, polarity, temperature, current, and amplifier fault conditions. It boasts a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz +/-1.0dB and a Signal-to-Noise ratio greater than 105dB unweighted.
The front panel provides a comprehensive status overview, including power, standby, protect, power switch disable, signal level, bridge, over-temperature, overcurrent, and Ethernet communication. The amplifier also features an internal factory-installed digital signal processing (DSP) option controlled using Protea (network-enabled) software.
Each amplifier input channel can be configured with pluggable DSP blocks to have its own dynamics control, gain functions, graphic and/or parametric EQ, Hi-pass/Lo-pass filters, time delay, metering, and test signal generator. A mixer section with assignable routing allows any input to drive any or all amplifier outputs.
The amplifier is capable of having factory-installed AES3, CobraNet, or Dante interface options. It fits perfectly in a standard 19-inch rack using two spaces (3.5. high) and weighs 24.7 pounds (11.2kg) or less.
