This advanced digital signal processor simplifies the connection and control of networked systems, offering seamless setup and control via standard 10/100 Ethernet protocol and Protea ne Software. The ne4800 is a versatile addition to our range of processors, designed to complement our amplifiers perfectly. It eliminates the need for special outboard control units, offering an analog line input/output format. This model features four inputs and eight outputs, providing ample connectivity for your audio setup. At the heart of the ne4800 is a powerful DSP signal processing library, powered by multiple SHARC 32-Bit processors. These processors offer sample rates of either 48kHz or 96kHz, ensuring high-quality audio processing. The processing blocks include a 4x8 matrix mixer, a comprehensive array of graphic, parametric, and all pass equalization, and crossover filters including 8th-order Butterworth, Bessel, Linkwitz-Riley, and notched Linkwitz-Riley.The Protea Software Suite, included with the ne4800, offers an advanced automatic feedback suppressor, FIR filter capability, gain sharing automatic microphone mixing, ambient noise sensing and level adjustment, autolevelers, compressors, matrix duckers, limiters, and frequency-keyed noise gates. It also provides signal delay up to 1,365ms on every channel and a choice of sinewave, pink, or white noise generators.Programming the ne4800 is straightforward, using standard 10/100 Ethernet or RS-232 protocol and Protea ne Software on a PC platform. The hot-plug software control allows you to plug any function into any channel block, even when running live audio, with no recompiling necessary. The automatic DHCP network IP configuration further reduces network setup time, while multi-level software security with password access ensures a tamper-proof audio system.The ne4800 is designed with four option bays, supporting Cobranet or Dante network audio, AES/EBU, and mic input options. The rear panel features Euroblock connectors, including eight logic input or output connections, plus eight remote potentiometer level controls. Word clock input and output BNC connections are provided for digital audio frame locking to a house sync. The DSP processor is designed to mount in a standard 19" rack using 2 spaces (3.5" high).The Protea DSP for NE Processors is compatible with Microsoft Windows 8, 7 (Vista/XP) 32 & 64 bit systems.
