This advanced audio system processor features 8-channel AES3 outputs and a Dante option card, providing more channels for simultaneous use and easy integration into a Dante network. It is ideal for professional audio applications, including live sound reinforcement, recording studios, and installed sound systems.

The NE4800 boasts an extensive DSP signal processing library, powered by multiple SHARC 32-Bit processors with sample rates of either 48kHz or 96kHz. It includes a comprehensive array of processing blocks such as a matrix mixer, graphic, parametric and all pass equalization, and crossover filters. These filters include 8th-order Butterworth, Bessel, Linkwitz-Riley and notched Linkwitz-Riley.

The Protea Software Suite enhances the functionality of the NE4800 with an advanced automatic feedback suppressor, FIR filter capability, gain sharing automatic microphone mixing, ambient noise sensing and level adjustment, autolevelers, compressors, matrix duckers, limiters, and frequency-keyed noise gates. It also includes signal delay up to 1,365ms on every channel and your choice of sinewave, pink or white noise generators.

The NE4800 is designed with a hot-plug software control, allowing you to plug any function into any channel block even when running live audio with no recompiling necessary. It also features automatic DHCP network IP configuration, reducing network setup time. The multi-level software security with password access ensures a tamper-proof audio system.

This professional audio system processor is equipped with four option bays for supporting Cobranet or Dante network audio, AES/EBU, and mic input options. It uses fixed-path architecture with hot-plugable audio functions anywhere in the signal path to reduce set-up time. All control and monitoring programming is accomplished using a PC platform and standard Ethernet network connection or RS-232 protocol.
