This advanced amplifier is built around an energy-efficient Class-D platform and a switching power supply, offering a seamless blend of power and efficiency.
The ne8250pe amplifier simplifies the process of connecting and controlling an amplifier for networked systems. It offers user-friendly setup and control using standard 10/100 Ethernet protocol and Protea ne Software, eliminating the need for special outboard control units.
This versatile amplifier is available in two configurations: the standard network amplifier and a network amplifier with an onboard Protea DSP Processor. Each model can be customized to suit any installation, with options for AES3 inputs, mic pre inputs, and CobraNet or Dante modules.
The ne8250pe 8-Channel Power Amplifier delivers a minimum power of 150 Watts RMS per channel into 8 Ohm loads and 250 Watts RMS per channel into 4 Ohm loads when all channels are operating. In bridged-mono mode, the amplifier can deliver at least 500 Watts RMS into an 8 Ohm load.
This amplifier features Euroblock input and output connectors, balanced analog inputs, and remote standby for power up. It also offers DC remote level control, contact closure preset recall, and Ethernet control and monitoring of power functions, level, mute, polarity, temperature, current, and amplifier fault conditions.
The ne8250pe amplifier ensures a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz +/-1.0dB, and a Signal-to-Noise ratio greater than 105dB unweighted. It also guarantees SMPTE intermodulation distortion of less than 0.5% into an 8 Ohm load, 10dB below rated output.
The front panel provides a comprehensive status overview, including power, standby, protect, power switch disable, signal level, bridge, over-temperature, over-current, and Ethernet communication. The amplifier can also be upgraded with factory-installed AES3, CobraNet, or Dante interface options with the addition of two 4-Channel DAC cards.
Designed to fit a standard 19-inch rack using two spaces, this lightweight amplifier weighs just 24.7 pounds (11.2kg).
