This durable and efficient amplifier is designed to meet the rigorous demands of live sound environments and fixed audio installations, making it an ideal choice for performance venues, stadiums, arenas, convention centers, schools, storefronts, and worship spaces.
The NXP1502 is part of the NX series, which offers 2 or 4-channel models in three separate amplifier series: NX (base model series), NXE (network-able), and NXP (networkable + DSP). This model boasts Ethernet Control using Protea NE software, allowing for seamless control over your audio setup. It also offers serial data control by Ashly programmable remotes or third-party controllers, enhancing its versatility.
One of the standout features of the NXP1502 is its CNM-2 CobraNet option card. This allows the amplifier to be used with CobraNet, a digital audio network known for its low-latency, high-performance audio distribution. This is particularly beneficial for professional audio applications where timing is critical.
The amplifier also features a real-time clock with an event scheduler for automatic execution of selected functions and tasks, programmed using PneS software and stored in the amplifier. It also offers Ashly Remote Control via an iPad app for secure wireless control over a network.
The NXP1502 utilizes Class-D Switching Amplifier Technology and features a switch-mode power supply, which automatically detects 110 - 120VAC or 220 - 240VAC operation. This makes the NXE one of the lightest in its class. The amplifier also offers selectable outputs on each channel, allowing you to choose the desired output mode. Set the DIP-switch configuration for Low Impedance (2, 4, and 8 Ohm), or Constant Voltage (70V or 100V) and you're set to go.
The NXP1502 also comes with Ashly EMS (Energy Management System), a power-saving feature that provides an automatic sleep-mode drawing less than 1 Watt. This feature can be defeated if desired. The amplifier also provides increased channel separation and reliability with multiple internal power supplies.
The NXP1502 is a 2 channel multi-mode amplifier capable of driving 2 Ohm loads at full power. The maximum rated output power is 150W per channel at Low Z, 150W per channel in 25V mode, 150W per channel in 70V mode, and 150W per channel in 100V mode. The amplifier also features 32-bit DSP processing at 48kHz or 96kHz sampling rate, offering a range of DSP functions.
In terms of connectivity, the NXP1502 features 3.5mm Euroblock input connectors and 7.62mm Euroblock output connectors. The unit also has a front panel power switch and rear level controls that can be disabled. LEDs indicate various statuses, including Protect, Sleep, Disabled, and Bridge mode, as well as Temperature, Output Current, Output Signal, and Clipping/Mute status per channel.
