SolaBulb is a 50W PAR-bulb-equivalent, zoomable luminaire with a 15 Degree - 50 Degree adjustable beam, refined Fresnel lens, and durable, fan-free operation. A versatile downlight designed to meet the needs of film and events while providing an architectural look.

A Fresnel in a Bulb

The Fresnel lens in SolaBulb is fully powered by Astera's Titan LED Engine, delivering the same performance and beam distribution as larger luminaires like Pluto Fresnel or QuikPunch. It's a perfect choice for high-level events and an excellent solution for adding creative flares in-camera.

Less Glare, more Contrast
No black wrap, just simplicity. The SolaSnoot attaches directly to the front of the barrel to eliminate light spill, create a more intimate mood, or emulate a traditional architectural downlight - without adding weight. Each SolaBulb kit includes 8 SolaSnoots, giving you complete control over your desired look.

How to Control

Built-in CRMX
SolaBulb includes Lumen Radio's wireless DMX and RDM, ensuring seamless integration with lighting consoles and other standard controllers. The DMX patch is extremely easy to configure: assign profiles, starting addresses and fixture numbers in no time via the Astera App.

On Your Console
SolaBulb is prepared for complex stage lighting and film setups where DMX-based, Ethernet based or CRMX-based third-party consoles and controllers are used. Furthermore, the most useful Astera App functions are seamlessly integrated in Blackout Lighting Console - the most convenient way to control SolaBulb from your tablet!

App Control / BTB
Take command of your Astera lights! The Astera App offers full control over SolaBulbs and other Astera fixtures in the same smart ecosystem, while offering setup features and real-time monitoring.

ON/OFF Button
When no other control method is available, the ON/OFF button on SolaBulb allows you to switch off the bulb, activate blue mode for Bluetooth pairing, or easily apply different color presets.

Architectural lighting for film
SolaSnoot easily fits the front of SolaBulb so you can avoid straylight while increasing the contrast in its beam. Shield all the desired viewing angles and make SolaBulb look really good with SolaSnoot.

Spotlighting for museums
Its clean, defined beam makes SolaBulb perfect for short-distance product showcasing. Fits standard tracklight accessories, matches a 50W PAR/PAR20, and with Titan LED color rendering plus built-in Lumen Radio DMX, it's ideal for temporary setups in exhibitions, shops, or clubs.

Controllable downlights for events

Fresnel lighting for accents

Threaded mounting for rigging
SolaBulb includes 3/8" and 1/4" threads in the housing for the attachment of Baby Pins, enhancing the rigging experience for even more versatility. Mount it on a tripod, add a Super Clamp or combine it with other units in a custom rig.

- PowerStation Battery Pack & External Display -
Connect the integrated cable to your SolaBulb's DC connector to power it up. While connected, the Power Station acts as a remote display to program DMX addresses and settings, which the bulb will store in its memory. It can also set colors, effects, brightness etc. which the bulb will continue to display when in a powered lamp socket or connected to a power bank. Apart from its backside magnets, the Power Station features an airline track to attach mounting accessories such as Track Pin and Single Stud Ring.

Battery Pack
Use PowerStation as a external battery to power a SolaBulb for several hours.

External Display
PowerStation works like an external display and control panel SolaBulbs. You can set colors, brightness, runtime, DMX addresses and more. After being disconnected, the bulb will remember its setting so that it can be used without Power Box.

Multiple Mounting Options
PowerStation enables your NYX Bulb and your SolaBulb to be mounted anywhere.
