Shopper : Why does the specs say db72 if it's the model xb72 advertised?CHRISTOPHER H : I received the XB72. but word of caution, Adorama sent me the SanDisk U100 SSD which from what i read everywhere is far inferior to the other SSD that Asus uses which is the ADATA SSD. without ensuring prior to shipment which is which in the machine that will get shipped you will take your chances. Adorama was unhelpful in this regard....if you can get them to give you the list of serial numbers they have in stock and confirm with ASUS which SSD is in which serial numbered machine then that would help.....but again, Adorama was extremely unhelpful in this regard. I got the SanDisk SSD and so far ok, but I am very confident my experience would be better with the ADATA SSD. wish Adorama was just a bit more helpful, how hard is it to get them to provide from thier stocking ystem what serial numbers they have in stock???????JONAH P : XB72 has Windows 7 Professional edition, DB72 has Windows 7 Home edition. see cnet... /laptops/asus-zenbook-prime-ux31a/4540-3121_7-35403933-4.html The one that I got from Adorama has Windows 7 Professional edition.

My Second ASUS Zenbook - LOVE IT!

I bought one of the first Zenbooks off the assembly line when it first came out. It was a lemon, but ASUS replaced it and I've enjoyed several years of good use. It's still working, but I'm leery of Windows 8 and wanted to get one of the last Zenbooks with Windows 7, so I went ahead and purchased this one. This model has a higher resolution for the screen, which is visibly better than the first model. It also has a backlit keyboard and the keys have a deeper, more springy touch to them. I was able to set it up myself without the aid of a technician to link up to my network, printer, etc. and I'm not technically savvy. I was so pleased that a close friend bought one for herself as well. I was very pleased with Adorama. I would buy from them again.

Outstanding.

I use the Zenbook for everything! Its size and format are perfect and Windows 7 performs wonderfully. I cannot enunciate enough positive remarks for the product or Adorama, for their outstanding service and prompt delivery, Thanks a Tb.

Beautiful, and almost flawless

It's light, small, and stylish with a beautiful display. It is responsive and runs my demanding work applications well. I drive two additional external monitors and use an external mouse on my desk, and it all works great. The one problem that I have is that if I connect an external USB keyboard (or USB remote control presentation slide advancing device) then it does not work and after a few seconds the internal keyboard, track pad, and external mouse all freeze and a hard boot is required. I tried everything suggested by Asus support and they had no resolution. I have seen no other similar reports on the internet, so I assume that it is a fluke with my machine.

The Asus Zenbook Prime UX31A-DB72 13.3" Ultrabook Computer takes portability to the next level. With a super slim profile of about two-thirds of an inch and a weight of less than 3 pounds, this Asus Zenbook Prime was built for ultimate mobility. While thin and lightweight, this computer is far from fragile. It has a spun aluminum lid with precise-etched concentric circles to match its silver hairline chassis for a solid build and stylish design.

The 13.3" widescreen IPS display features LED lamps, which brighten faster and use less energy than their CCFL counterparts. The screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio, which is also the standard for HDTVs.
