Shopper : Does it have microsoft word, or what is the software used to type documents?RICK B : No on microsoft word, but it has WordPad and NotepadDEBORAH H : No word processing program came with Windows 7 in the Eee PC Netbook. I use Open Office, which is a free download and it can be opened as a document by some recipients. I also use Google Chrome/Drive to create documents, but unless the recipient also has Google, they will not be able to open it. Both Chrome and Open Office can be converted to PDF. I'm sure you can download Word, but I think there's a fee and I really don't like Microsoft so I don't use it. However, I do feel that Word should be included automatically with Windows 7! Its not right for us to have a computer forced into Windows without a word processing program. I advocate for Open Office, because its a company with integrity. You can download the program easily and if your friends or colleagues also add it, they will be able to not only open every document you send, but they can edit it as well. We need to be free of this Microsoft stronghold. And Open Office is one good way to begin the shift! DeborahSTEVEN L : I gave it away already, but I don't remember any other software loaded than the operating system. I went ahead and loaded my own MS Office.barb s : it only has wordpad. u can upgrade it for about $100.
