The cardioid polar pattern provides a 120-degree angle of acceptance, capturing sound from a wide area while minimizing background noise.The AT831R comes with a 4m (13.1') permanently attached miniature cable, which connects to the included AT8538 power module via a TA3F-type connector. The power module's output is a 3-pin XLRM type connector, offering compatibility with a wide range of audio equipment. For added flexibility, the power module features a recessed switch that allows you to choose between a flat response or low-frequency roll-off.
