I have been eyeing this headset for a few years and they finally went on sale so I finally bought them. I should have bought them ages ago. I went through so many headsets both wired and wireless that cannot live up to how well these headphones sound. They are comfortable even after long gaming sessions and don't make my hear or ears too warm. Overall this headset is everything I wanted and more.

I immediately loved this pair of gaming headset on day one! Sound quality is top-notch, clear, smooth, and less spiking. Bass is well controlled, but it is definitely not super thin or flattened out, so if you're a bass-ish head, you won't be disappointed. Due to the fact that this is a pair of opened acoustic gaming headset, the sound stage is very natural and spacious, which is pretty good for competitive gaming, high quality music listening, and enjoyable movie watching. Overall, when it comes to sound quality of this headset, it's just beautiful, period! On the other hand, I don't like the materials that have been used to make this headset, especially the 3D wing headband. It is made out of flimsy plastic, it can also be quite slippery on your head, and the contact pressure is quite on the loose. Audio Technica might as well re-design the headband and make it a regular one, which has a reliable metal band built inside and plenty of cushioning for the outside. I personally don't think this headset can take a beating or even last a considerable amount of time from day one - this is very disappointed in terms of durability and reliability.

Overall the only reason I gave it in any way a con (because these headphones are spectacular) is because of the one and only problem. That being after about 6 months of constant use the cables for some reason wrap up and stay twisted sometimes even pulling on my neck, because of poor cable construction. I've tried zip ties, cable "twists", and even tieing some ends to rulers so they would stay straight, however they just keep twisting making the cord very short and "yank" on my head.
