Discover the Audio-Technica ATM355VF Cardioid Condenser Instrument Microphone, a compact and versatile solution meticulously crafted for capturing the rich sounds of violins, violas, flutes, and other woodwind instruments. This advanced cardioid condenser microphone is engineered for both professional live performances and studio recordings, offering exceptional sound clarity and precision.
The ATM355VF is equipped with a flexible gooseneck design, ensuring the microphone remains perfectly positioned even during dynamic performances. Its high-sensitivity capabilities allow it to deliver clear, balanced audio at sound pressure levels up to 148.5 dB SPL. The cardioid polar pattern enhances frontal sensitivity, providing superior feedback control and isolating the desired sound source while minimizing unwanted noise.
Included with the ATM355VF is the AT8543 power module, which connects seamlessly to the microphone's locking 4-pin connector for wired applications. This module features a 3-pin XLRM output and a switchable 80 Hz low-cut filter, allowing users to choose between a flat response and reduced low-frequency interference. Additionally, the microphone can be connected to Audio-Technica cW-style bodypack transmitters for versatile use.
The microphone's flexible, lightweight gooseneck design not only allows for precise positioning but also reduces handling noise and strain on the 1.8 m cable. A protective windscreen is included to shield the microphone from ambient noise and potential damage.
For those seeking varied sound-capturing options, the ATM355VF offers interchangeable elements. The UE-O element (sold separately) provides omnidirectional pickup, while the UE-H element (sold separately) offers hyper cardioid characteristics, enabling users to tailor their audio capture to any environment.
The ATM355VF comes with dedicated mounts to ensure optimal positioning and protection for your instruments. The AT8491V violin mount is designed for instruments with a body depth of 30 to 55 mm, offering a secure, minimal-contact hold that preserves the instrument's resonance and surface integrity. Meanwhile, the AT8491F flute mount accommodates flute diameters of 12 to 30 mm, featuring a rounded, scratch-resistant contact surface suitable for various cylindrical objects, including microphone stands.
Experience unparalleled sound capture with the Audio-Technica ATM355VF Cardioid Condenser Instrument Microphone, designed to meet the demands of discerning musicians and audio professionals.
