Adorama nailed it and excellent unit for the price! I only needed the handheld Mic and no-one seemed to have it or couldn't send it to me in time! This is a great unit and it works with all the different system 10 units that we use. I have been using the Pro Reciver Chassis and the ATW 1102 with the handhelds and the Lav's. Great sound for speeches, interviews and panel discussions.

This system is clearly designed for DSLR sound recording. It's lightweight, reliable and has excellent sound quality.

I really wanted to like this system, and there are certainly some things to like, but ultimately, it didn't work for my filming situations. The transmitter pack is good. The integrated antenna, locking 4-pin connection, and slim design were all appreciated. The included omni lav mic didn't sound as good as my RODE or Shure lav's, but it was enough to get the job done in most instances. The receiver is also very space-efficient, and the pairing process between the two was quick and efficient. The electronics are, in fact, quite sophisticated for an entry-level system, and the connection in my tests was extremely stable. Setting the level on the transmitter is a little odd, with a tiny plastic screwdriver clipped inside the battery compartment, but this isn't something that would need to be accessed very often. There are a few big quirks that were deal-breakers for me. There is no locking output cable, and the cable included in the box felt like it was likely to fall apart at any moment. The signal was noisy going into my Ursa mini, even when operated in dual-mono mode. Into a DSLR with automatic noise leveling, this was not an issue. The other issue is the mount adapter for the receiver. Be aware that the receiver does not "snap" into the mount, it merely slides into the holder. If you move the camera or have the system mounted on a gimbal, be ready for it to slip out of the mount. Most other systems that I have used affix the receiver mount with a screw - why A-T decided to use this mount system is puzzling.

I love this system. It's very versatile. I wish I could pair more than one mic, but that would be my only complaint...if I had one. The videos I added to my review were recorded on my Sony A7Sii with this microphone system, the hand-held mic, just out of frame. Except for the Opioid Addiction Conference.

There are more expensive mics out there, but in terms of straight value for the money and ROI this has to be the winner. We use 4 sets constantly for filming weddings and have yet to have a dropout or any significant issues after 60+ paid events using them. Audio is clear and static/hiss free, the range is good (a couple hundred feet?) and the flat little lav mics included are very discreet compared to most, which is a plus for weddings in our line of work. The internal battery on the receiver lasts for many hours (we've never exhausted it, and have used it well over 6 hours a day frequently). Definitely recommended!

I own several other wireless mic sets, 2 sennheiser G2, and a sony aw4. I've been meaning to sell my G2 sets because the bands are getting very crowded in NYC and digital is one answer. This system 10 i had been eyeing up for a while but my main hesitation was that it uses a built in rechargeable battery for the receiver unit. Thus far though, i'm happy i made the purchase, as overall it's been a solid performer and dead easy to use. With the sennheiser units(which are great btw), there are a lot of options and settings menus, which of course can be useful, but these new digital units like the system 10 have no menu to fuss with, the pairing is 1 button, and the remaining settings are through switches on the unit. For a 1 man band videographer such as myself, that's a very good overall setup. The actual mic capsule and resulting sound is pleasing, i know some folks have strong preference in microphones, but for my line of work, 'good', is good, and one brand sounding warmer vs more treble-y, etc... just isn't a significant consideration. This mic sounds good. It's of course not a lectrosonic, and you're getting a mostly plastic body, but once again, different needs, different tools and price points. This one hits the marks for my needs.

So far I have been very impressed for the money I paid for this. It is very transparent sounding. The included element sounds ok, but with the permanently attached clip, it somewhat limits how you can attach it. I tried a cheap adapter to use my high end Sennheiser lavs and you have to be really careful about placement of the mic cable or you will hear digital interference from the transmitter in the mic cable. I have ordered a custom adapter that hopefully has better shielding to minimize this problem. I have heard that even some Audio Technica elements can exhibit this issue. Considering the price I got it for on sale, (about what the MKE2 element I normally use cost alone!) it is a very good buy. If the adapter on the way allows me to use my MKE2 element without fear of the digital noise, I will give it another star! If you find this on sale, its a no brainer purchase. No way you will get wireless at this quality anywhere near the sale price!

Although I have been a member of IATSE Local 695 Sound Technicians union here in Hollywood for many years, I bought this AT lav system for my personal mic collection. I am very happy with the sonic performance and ease of use. I am a DSLR video hobbyist and this mic system helped to improve the audio quality of my home videos. A camera mounted shotgun mic can sound a bit hollow at times if the action is too far away, so this wireless lav will help bridge the gap between good audio and bad. I've tried some of the cheaper wireless mics that are somewhere in the $100 to $200 range, but I was disappointed in the sound quality.
