Subash C : Does this mount work well with a long focal length refractor like the Skywatcher 100ED Pro?David M : I have a Skywatcher 100ED too. It is amazingly light but I don't think this mount would work very well. I use an 80mm with this mount and that seems to be close to the limit.

If so, what additional equipment must be purchased?ANDREW R : No, I believe that this unit is designed for use with lightweight OTAs such as a 60mm or 80mm ED refractor, a 90mm or 100mm Mak or 114mm Newtonian reflector. It can also be used to mount solar scopes. I do not believe that it will function properly with a DSLR hacked onto it.
Shopper : how much weight the ioptron gear box can handle please??BENJAMIN W : Dont go over 9lbs. I tried my Meade 6" Newt with it witch weighs just under 12lbs. It was to much for it. I have a 90mm refractor on it now does a great job with it. This is an awesome mount for a light weight scope !ALLEN T : I really don't have any idea ... after I took the instruments out of the box, I really didn't put anything back into the box. As I remember it was a foam-fitted box, so to put something other than the CubePro back in, you'd have to rip out the foam and deal with all the dried glue, etc left behind.JOSE R : Max i would not put more than 12 pounds, i have a 5 inch mak and a orion 90 mm refractor balancing eeachother works great

The CubePro GoTo AltAzimuth Mount is the ideal portable mount to go with your traveling OTAs, such as a 60mm or 80mm ED refractor, a 90mm or 100mm Mak or 114mm Newtonian reflector. It can also be used to mount solar scopes.

It features a SmartStar computerized control system with 130,000 objects and 8-linebacklit LCD screen. A 32 channel internal GPS, easy alignment procedure and accurate GoTo and auto-tracking minimize the setup time. 1" stainless steel tripod legs with metal platform and metal hinges makes the mount very sturdy.

The compact design of the tripod and the mount makes it easy to carry around in a travel case, and the mount assembly time takes less than 5 minutes.

The standard dovetail makes this mount compatible with many different OTAs. CubePro is compatible with all ASCOM compliant planetarium programs and many other programs such as Sky x, Starry Night and Voyager.
