Velvety Warm. Great for Low Volume Listening
Beside the fact that they are absolutely beautiful, these cans are extremely comfortable despite the added weight from the cherry wood. They are exceptionally warm so they're probably not the best choice for reference geeks. The cables are a bit thin for the price but that's nitpicking and I haven't checked the after market for upgrading them. Their greatest strength is the beautiful sound you get at low volume levels. None of my other hi-price cans compare to these in this aspect.

The ATH-AWAS headphones also incorporate Audio-Technica's exclusive D.A.D.S. (Double Air Damping System).
