So the audio quality is really good but after a while (had mine for two years) the main cable starts to break which normally is not a big issue for me BUT you have to go through 3rd party buyers to buy the cable since you can't buy them officially from audio technica.
My guess is so you'd have to buy a new headset instead of just rebuying the cable so basically because money.
Also the quality of the headset with the bridge up top constantly squeaks when you move your head around which is super annoying.

Cable started breaking

The headphones are good its just the cables that are horrible. The cables just decide to only output in mono sometimes, and the microphone breaks if you use it a lot. Its also very hard to find a replacement on them, you cant buy them officially! The only one i could find is on AliExpress

Very good sounding headphones, but cables break easily

I had this for less than 2 years. I enjoyed using them while i had them and will be buying another pair, however there were a few issues i had as far as the actual hardware. a few month in i had issues with audio cutting in and out on one side of the headphones, which i assumed was a short in the cord. i dealt with this for a few months because it was never major and was fixed just by turning the jack in its socket a little bit. At some point, i switched to using the shorter cord for consoles which unfortunately did not fix the problem but i assumed was user error because i needed to get used to how much shorter this cord was in comparison to the one meant for PCs and may have jerked the wire a few times getting used to the shorter range. Around the 1 year mark is where i had actual issues. the left side completely broke from the headband piece, dangling from the wire. I was able to fix this with glue however like a month later the other side broke in the exact same spot lol. at this point i was already planning to buy another pair but procrastinated until today when the audio finally fully cut out on one ear, but i discovered that this whole time it was actually likely a short in the headphone itself and not the wiring, as whenever audio hit a certain threshold it would cut back in on that side. Problems aside i still really like these headphones, theyre cheap and are unparalleled when it comes to gaming, talking, streaming and listening to music all at once. Ive tried using other headphones but this ones seemed to give the best result across the board depending on what I need, its not the best sound quality or the crispiest mic but for the price its great. I do wish there were more color options though.

So im going to buy it again HOWEVER....

Audio is good but every AT device that says it has a microphone does not work. I have bought over 6 pairs of headphones from this company and all of the microphones fail. The computer does not detect it and when I use my phone with the in ear headphones it also does not work. Never buying from them again.

Product Sucks - overpriced headset in which the microphone

This is the best gaming headset it has clean sound and amazing mix quality it is unmatched. even from the expensive competitors. though the short cable is sometimes to short and the long one is too long. so take that at you will. the microphone is detachable so you can easily use it as just a audio headset and not a gaming one and it stays on your head when you need it to but it is not too tight. the adjustment on it is great even for big heads like mine. it is a amazing headset all around it has a full range driver with amazing sound. though small mp3 players will have issues driving the headset though.
