Nice counterweight. It is black in color and not white like in the description. Other than that is is a counterweight, not much to say about it.

Use it with AVX when mounting a lighter telescope. Original larger weight has to be positioned so high that it can hit the mount at my mid 30s latitude, this smaller weight solved the problem.

I've recently enhanced my Celestron C8 rig by adding astrophotography capabilities in the form of a main CMOS camera, a guide CMOS camera, an off-axis guide unit, and a filter holder. As a result, I added enough payload weight to exceed the ability of the previous counter weights to balance the rig! The previous weights were 60-mm tall, 90-mm diameter classic Celestron 2.8-kg weights. I replaced these with 3 iOptron 25-mm tall, 2-kg weights. These enable me to quickly and easily balance the unit, either with just the visual viewing kit or with the astrophotography kit. The accompanying photo shows the configuration of the three weights when I'm balancing the full kit. In order to balance the scope when it is equipped with just a star diagonal and an eyepiece, I simply slide the middle weight up to where it is directly below the upper weight. I'm very, very pleased with this solution.

Pretty much what it says it is. Bought this for my Skyguider Pro to help balance the larger lenses. It is about twice the diameter of the original weight so you just have to watch that it doesn't hit the tripod.

Needed a lighter weight for my iEQ30 Pro to fine tune balance. Adorama had the right size. Fit and function is fine but unfortunately no opportunity to use it yet due to bad weather, Adorama was the only vendor that offered free shipping which sealed the deal.

As with a previous reviewer, mine was black, not white as in the picture. Not much to this item, but the locks the weight against the shaft correctly. Ii am using it on a CEM25 to balance a small refractor, as the 11 pound weight supplied with the CEM25 will not balance this even at teh top of the counterweight shaft.

The weight attaches to the counterweight bar as desired. A few quirks (1) the color of the weight that arrived was black instead of white as shown in picture (2) The screws that came with the weights worked but do not seem nearly as nice as the one in the picture (3) On one of the 3 weights that I ordered the screw only went half way into the weight and did not clamp down on the bar. Adorama was very responsive in getting this problem addressed so I am giving 4 stars instead of 3.
