Overall a good purchase but a little pricey

Purchased the Power Weight for my iOptron EQ30 Pro mount for portability. Construction is good but all plastic. The weight is good but less than the weight that came with the mount. For a piggyback ed camera it was too much. Ran a two hour session with no problems. Two outputs is nice option. May try running my camera on one. Bought a case from Staples to carry and used the foam that came with the weight. Overall a good purchase but a little pricey.

About iOptron PowerWeight Battery Pack

The iOptron PowerWeight rechargeable counterweight battery pack is specifically designed for using with iOptron's MiniTower Pro. Use this battery pack in place of your traditional counterweight (CW) and avoid long extension cords. Inside the counterweight are 6 heavy duty spiral wound valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) battery cells. The 8 amp-hour power pack provides power for operation of your telescope gear out in the field.
