Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?JOEL L : To get large files off the drive, I was using a cheaper cable, which kept having a loose connection and dropping. Hopefully this will fix that issue.BRADLEY P : Need a way to get files off of my Ninja VALBERT G : Designated Connection to read Caddies.RONALD B : When purchasing my Atomos Ninja V it did not include any hardware to down load the SSD drive to my computer. This will allow me to do this.

Good but over priced

My 4 stars is just a comment on the cost of the item vs the value. The USB 3.0 connection is very 'droppy', so to transfer LARGE files from the caddy to your computer, you need to be sure the connection is secure and nothing moves it. This caddy helps with that, but $75 for basically a USB cable and a piece of plastic (should be included with the device itself), seems very pricey.

My first version didn't work at all. I didn't get any response from my vendor, so I gave up and bought another hoping for better luck. Second time works fine, but it seems to be more elaborate than necessary.

The Atomos USB 3.0 & 2.0 Docking Station with Cables provides an efficient way of offloading files from an Atomos drive caddy to a computer. This docking station is compatible with USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports and it includes a split USB cable that features two USB connectors on the output side. The second connector plugs into the computer's USB 2.0 port in order to power the docking station in systems that require such secondary power input. This new dock (ATOMDCK003) includes a spot for a power cable that is needed and sold with the optional RAID caddy.

Warranty Information

This product has a limited warranty of 12 months for parts and 12 months for labor.
