It has been incredible for recording videos past the 30 minute time limit set on the canon r6. I've recorded videos up to about 3-4 hours with no issue.

No idea who build this bundle. Had so many issues with 4K cable (Worked fine first few months). After months of struggle, Support finally recommended to use Cable from Atomos. If it is not 100% compatible, why including in the bundle.

Totally worth every penny. You know it?s a great value when my only gripe is I would?ve liked to have a mini hdmi cable instead of one of the ones that canes in the bundle. Decided to future-proof myself with the V+ since my next cam is a RED. The monitor itself has already elevated my video game significantly.

Hidden in the fine print is the key fact that Ninja V+ 8k ProRes RAW format is a downgrade to 10 bit from the native Canon 12 bit RAW, which matters a lot in post. When I read the fine print, I returned mine. Don?t miss that 10 bit quality.

Use it, for canon r5, and now i can record all formats with almost no trouble at all. Also can record all 4k formats to directly edit, no proxies, no h265. Great monitor also, bright, with peaking, false color, waves, etc.

So far this thing is the real deal. I'm using to record 4K and 8K footage from my Canon R5 but also using it to record 5K Zoom meetings off my iMac Pro as ProRes files for editing later. Works like a champ. The bundle did NOT INCLUDE the sled you need to attach a drive to your computer, so be mindful of that small additional expense.

I bought it, thinking I would be able to record 120fps with my R5, but it?s not to be?yet, I hope. It does do 8k ProREs RAW and 5k60, which looks great! Other than that, it?s the same as my Ninja V.

Current firmware version does not support Canon 5dIV and Canon C300II, also no GoPro support. Atomos is aware of this issue and they are hoping to resolve it with a new update, when? no one knows:((( When I plugged in the Ninja V+ into cameras mentioned above I got inverted colors.

While updating with new firmware, activating various codecs was a bit of a pain and the defaults on the audio mixer lead to confusing results, those are ultimately just inconveniences. This setup used in combo with the R5 transforms the camera's capabilities.

Great little recorder. Can record unlimited 8k30 into proresraw if you have plenty of storage :) so far working ok with my R5. Best companion for canon R5 hands down. Problem with game recording from PC. May be due to HDCP. Can not record gameplay with RTX3090 on windowds 11 from HDMI port. gets little hot when running. recommend for everyone who want ease of editing with newer macbook pro with M1 chips as you can directly take footage in and edit and color without transcoding. love it and recommend it highly.

Super excited to get the Atomos Ninja V+ finally! The Pro bundle kit was very nice & there was actually 2 sunhoods included! Alas the Ninja V+ unit I got was defective as the fan inside would hit & make a loud noises when the unit was tilted in different angles. I emailed Atomos & they confirmed it was indeed a defective unit & to send it back for a replacement. I sent it back to Adorama for a full refund & they took care of me no problems!
