I would rate this as a great condenser mike for acoustic guitar, and Mandolin. It is crisp, clear, and very responsive. No more SM57's for me after using this mike.

I did some research and finally bought this mic as my cheap small cap condenser mic for under $, seeing that many also recommend it. As its specs also admit the very high end above 10k is lacking, but things sound so nicely flat under it. You surely get what you pay for for the price (in a good way) and I also dig the bag it comes with. It's surely not a DPA but you could see it as a great, much cheaper version.

We use 2 of these mics in place of 1 large condenser for bluegrass. Put these in xy set up and they capture vocals and instruments with no feedback. We even pointed our foh speakers back at us just to see if we could get any squeal or rumble. Why use anything else, and for the price they are more than great. I would spend much more if needed to get the quality and versatility of these.

Believe it or not, I mainly use the Pro37 for vocals. This mic is great for Southern Gospel Quartets as well as the normal use of it in the studio for instruments. I highly recommend this mic.
