(I do not know exactly its weight: probably betwee 3 and 5 kg)? thank youDANA T : The stated capacity is 12 lbs, I tried loading an 8 lb Orion 127mm Mak and it was shaky beyond use. I use this mount with an SLR and a camera lens, that's about what it's good for. Shopper : Do your think the iOptron SmartEQ Pro EQ mount can be used with a 6" Ritchey-Chrétien that weights 12.9 lbs ??DANA T : Probably not. I've tried it with my Orion 127 Mak and the 'clutches' slip. The RA and Dec 'clutches' are just small screws that jam into the side of a pipe - nothing rocket science or bulletproof. Also the tripod rigidity is not up to that task. The settle time after a bump (or touching to focus) is about 4-5 seconds.JAMES R : I doubt it. I got it for use with a DSLR so I can't be sure, but I don't think the build quality is good enough to go almost 2 lbs over its rated max. And if you're doing astrophotography forget about it.

Poor Directions / No Video / Doesnt work / Loud

This is my first EQ Mount and I got it for my camera. Unfortunately, I cant get it work, and have searched in vain online for video, but cant find anything to address the problems I am having with it. And customer service at Adoroma wont do anything at all to help me, they just told me I need to contact IOptron and if they cant herlp me to return it before the deadline to get my money back. Thats all they said and were willing to do to help me! After getting mine, I have come across many people online that have encountered issues with this mount also, having to send it to IOptron more than once to get it updated, repaired, replaced, etc. Had I known about these issues, I wouldnt have purchased it. It is also very loud when moving, which I wasnt expecting. Super disappointing, was very excited to get it and use it and havent been able to get the scope to work, to get it aligned, or track properly. You get minimal directions with it, have to go online to get the manual, but even downloading the manual, it is not easy to follow because their arent enough photos illustrating what they are talking about! They assume you know how to polar align as an example, which is very frustrating. Their are no photos of how to do that using the scope (my scope wont work even work though.)
