Solid build and at first trial looks like it is going to be great on my first dark sky outing.

Quality product at an excellent price. There is a learning curve and I am just getting on it. Looking forward to my first dark sky outing. Manual is not as detailed as I would like but there is plenty of online guidance.

A must have it you are shooting astrophotography. I had a chance to use it on a recent trip to the mountains and dark skies. Once set up it worked perfectly shooting night skies; no star trails! It allows long exposures without star trails. Luv it!!

I was surprised how quick delivery was. Looks like a great product. Can't wait for the weather to cooperate so I can use it for some astrophotography.

After a few trials I have come to realized that there is some play in the main axis. This has mainly two implications. First, it is hard to align the camera perfectly. Secondly and more importantly, the camera moves by a few degrees at some point during the session. As a result all the photos taken after have to be thrown away.

Really nice device, esp. for the price. Not the easiest to set up, I wish they had better documentation, but overall, for the price, I think this is the best tracker on the market.

I used the tracker for the eclipse and it worked great. I am planning to do stars on my Montana trip next month.

I got this for the eclipse and having it and an intervalometer meant that I could watch the eclipse and get my photos with minimal interaction with the camera. Also, I did some nice astrophotography with an ultra wide, showing the stars reflected in a lake with a mountain in the background (a little Photoshop was needed to make the landscape part as crisp as the sky). The 1/2 star setting is worthless. Just use the star setting, take lots of photos for exposure stacking, then shoot the same number of photos of the landscape with the SkyTracker motor off, and combine the two. Super easy and super beautiful. You MUST use the corresponding app in order to get it aligned if Polaris isn't visible.

Not many had this in stock since it was newly released but Adorama did with free express shipping. Unit arrived missing a bolt and Adorama took care of me. Had my new unit by the weekend so I could go do an imaging session. Smaller and quieter than the original Sky tracker .... over all very nice and highly recommended!

Great and light weight for travel and tracking spot on when set up correctly aligned with Polaris and level. No star trails with log exposures and telephoto lens.
Let the stars be your canvas with the SkyTracker Pro Camera Mount with Polar Scope from iOptron. This next-generation camera tracking device is an essential tool for any photographer passionate about astroscape or wide-field astrophotography. The SkyTracker Pro is compact and portable, designed to fit comfortably in your palm, making it perfect for on-the-go photographers.
This upgraded version of the SkyTracker offers enhanced precision and silent tracking, ensuring smooth camera motion for long-term exposures. It also boasts a built-in rechargeable power source, capable of up to 24 hours of continuous operation, allowing you to capture the beauty of the night sky without interruption.
The SkyTracker Pro is equipped with an improved precision polar scope, featuring a finely engraved reticule and adjustable illumination with eight brightness levels. This feature, combined with the iOptron smartphone app, makes quick and accurate polar alignment a breeze.
The device offers four tracking rates: 1X or sidereal for imaging the sky and stars, 1/2X for capturing both the starry night and the landscape simultaneously, and solar and lunar rates. These tracking rates are functional in both the northern and southern hemispheres, making the SkyTracker Pro a versatile tool for photographers worldwide.
Constructed with an all-metal structure and ABS covers, the SkyTracker Pro is designed to attach to a camera tripod with 3/8" or 1/4" threads. It can support cameras weighing up to 3 kg (6.6 lbs), making it a robust and reliable choice for your photography needs.
The SkyTracker Pro also includes a detachable alt-azi base with fine latitude and azimuth adjusters for easy polar alignment. It features a reversible mounting post for both 3/8" and 1/4" threaded ball head mounting, and comes with an iOptron AccuAlign dark-field illuminated polar scope.
Additional features include a quick slew mode for easy camera framing adjustment, operation in both the northern and southern hemisphere, and a built-in rechargeable battery with a Micro USB port for power and charging. The SkyTracker Pro also comes with a padded carry bag for safe and easy transportation.
Optional accessories such as ball heads (#3305A), a tripod (#3221), and a counterweight balance kit (#3324) are available separately to enhance your astrophotography experience.
