This compact and portable device, designed by the reputable brand Audio-Technica, is a reliable choice for wireless audio signal transmission.Operating on two AA batteries, this transmitter offers both high- and low-level RF output settings. The low-level setting is designed to extend battery life while maintaining a robust RF signal link. The base of the transmitter is equipped with charging terminals, compatible with the optional ATW-CHG3 and ATW-CHG3N charging docks, for recharging AA NiMH batteries.The OLED screen on each transmitter provides a wealth of setup and operating information, including battery status, mute status, and operating frequency. The setup functions are easily navigated via soft-touch controls, which are thoughtfully covered to prevent accidental activation. A dual-color status LED provides clear visual feedback, illuminating green when power is on and red when the transmitter is muted or battery power is low.The ATW-T3201 body-pack transmitter comes with a selectable high-pass filter and a gain setting that can be adjusted in 2dB increments. To prevent unintended changes, transmitter settings can be locked. The body-pack transmitter also features a tactile mute toggle switch for physical confirmation of mute status when the display is not visible.The multifunction button on the transmitter can be programmed to perform one of two functions when pressed and held: turn off RF transmission or switch to a preselected backup frequency to avoid interference. This button can also be disabled if desired.The transmitter is equipped with an input for low impedance microphone and high-impedance musical instrument or line input, supplying 5V DC bias to power condenser microphones. The rugged cH-style screw-down 4-pin input connector ensures a secure connection to cH-style lavalier mics, headworn mics, and cables. Constructed with a durable metal body, the ATW-T3201 body-pack transmitter is designed to withstand the rigors of field use. It features a field-replaceable whip antenna, an OLED screen, and a secure, locking battery compartment door.
