I got this cable as a replacement for the one that came with my Hi-X15 headphones. Although it's not advertised as a replacement for the Hi-15 model cans, it does work with them, albeit with a minor quibble...the connector is designed to rotate a quarter-turn to anchor it in the left ear housing of the headphones. The original Hi-X15 cable had a tiny detent on the connector mating track that caused it to lock into place after rotation, while this replacement cable does not have the detent, and therefore the connector does not fasten as securely to the ear housing. It rotates, but doesn't lock into place. So far this has not been a problem for me in my limited use of the new cable, but it's worth noting. This replacement cable is also slightly larger in diameter and about 10" shorter than the original Hi-X15 cable.

Works with Hi-X15 headphones too, but with a minor issue

This cable works perfectly for my Austrian Audio Hi-X55 and is a much more manageable length than the original 3 meter cable. I heard that the new Hi-X65 already contains both lengths of cable since so many people wanted a shorter cable when buying the X50 and X55s. Very happy with my purchase.
