I have had this product for about 2 years now and recently changed the original stylus with a 2mm ortofon cart and the sound is so much better. The original Manufacture one was a little muffled but clear as day. Would love to buy this unit again ONLY if they were to fix the antiskate..

I had had this unit for about 2 years now and only just replaced the original stylus with a 2mm Red Ortofon and noticed the sound quality jump up by 100% Only real issue that I have is the antiskate.

I did a ton of research before choosing this turntable. It was between this and the ATP-LP1240. For the difference in price and for use at home, the AT-LP120 does everything I want. Set up is not difficult, but if you've never set up a tone arm with a counter weight you should watch the videos. It make a big difference getting the counter weight and anti-skate right. The settings for this are actually on the cardboard insert on the plate when you assemble the turntable, not in manual, so keep your eyes opened for that. The RCA cable is built in, instead of having normal RCA jacks. This means you have to use the cable that is pre-attached, which is not a big deal, unless you need a longer cable in which case you'll need double female adapters and an other cable. The bigger issue is that if anything thing happens to the cable you can't just swap it out with a new one. You will actually have to bring it in for repair. This is the issue that made the decision to buy this turntable or not more difficult. This was a really poor design decision for Audio-Technica. I cannot understand why anyone would thing this is a good idea.
