These are just as comfortable as the original earpads on my MX-40s. They're rather annoying to install, but it just takes a bit of patience. Remember to keep the thin layer of foam from the original earpads! You'll need for installing the new ones. Since black was out of stock everywhere, I went with white. . .I'll probably wrap the headband in white to complement the dual colour scheme. . .

Kinda disappointed. I bought from here expecting the oem replacements for Ath-M40x, the earpads I received are thinner, and less soft than the originals. The first thing I noticed when I bought the ath-m40x was how great the pads were compared to the ath-m50 non x. These pads remind me of the non x. These are not terrible or anything, but had I known, I would have bought generic replacements elsewhere.

Got the M50x a little over a year ago, I don't use them on a regular basis, but now the ear pads are worn, the faux leather stuff is cracking and it comes off.

headphones ear covers are made of bad material , if you sweat a lot covering of ear pieces melting from salty hars sweat , keep your receipt so you can call and ask for replacement

i bought these new ear pads because my older Audio-Technica ATHM50 headset was still in great shape and still sounded good. The original pads had dried and cracked a bit and were getting uncomfortable and these are more comfortable than the originals. I saved a bundle instead of buying a new headset. They are a bit tricky to install but worth it.
