Designed to be the perfect finishing touch to your acoustically isolated studio, the StudioDoor is a wood-based, pre-hung door that's ready to finish. It offers exceptional Sound Transmission Class (STC) ratings of 41 and 48, making it an ideal choice for sound professionals seeking to minimize noise leakage. The StudioDoor is available in four versions to suit your studio's layout: Left hand Inside, Left hand Outside, Right hand Inside, and Right hand Outside. This flexibility ensures that you can find the perfect fit for your space. The included SheetBlok Sound Isolation Barrier is a dense, limp-mass vinyl material designed to stop the transmission of sound. It acts as a thin, dense sound barrier layer in walls, ceilings, or floors and is most effective when used as part of a multi-layered construction scheme. SheetBlok is particularly useful for decoupling (i.e., floating) floors and walls in isolation construction applications. To accommodate the pre-hung frame, add 2" to the door's height and width dimensions when calculating the size of the rough opening in the wall. For the best fit, Auralex recommends Baldwin door hardware, which is compatible with 2-1/2" thick and 1-3/4" thick doors without the need for custom ordering.
