The microphone comes with a nice metal tubing that you can use to store the mic. Unfortunately when I first put the microphone into this tube I didn't realize that one of the foam rings inside the tube was already loose, so when I put the microphone in and then also pulled it out, it scratched along the inner part of the metal tubing. I now have a deep scratch all the way down my shotgun microphone on literally day one before I even plugged it in to an XLR cable.
