Dan O : How do you hook up TWO portable wireless speakers (AR Model AWSBT1) with Bluetooth?DOUG M : I'm sorry but I'm not able to help with this question since I don't use bluetooth.MARK T : There is one stereo transmitter which can drive an infinite number of these wireless speakers. Each of these speakers can play mono or stereo, so once you have attached to transmitter to the "source", it's just a matter of plugging the speakers into a power source or battery operated. Then you select the output you wish: stereo Right or stereo Left or Mono.
I have a 2 story house, and I run these on the Mono mode. I have one in the master B/R, one outside on the back porch and one in the home office. The bass on these is pretty good too.DAVID M : They are not Bluetooth, but the are wireless using a longer frequency than Bluetooth for better range. Using the provided base transmitting station you can use standard RCA inputs or an RCA/Stereo Mini plug adapter cable for phone or iPod/MP3 player input. On the back of the speaker is a switch for right/mixed/left channels. Use one base station transmitter, one speaker on right position, one on left position and enjoy. Hope that helps!
Shopper : what do you have to do to set up this speaker?DOUG M : It’s very easy. Plug the transmitter into the audio source using the provided Y-adapter. Then turn on your speaker.
If plugging the transmitter into an MP3 player or CD player, you’ll plug the Y-adapter into the headphone output. If plugging into a computer, you plug into the audio output jack. If plugging into an A/V receiver, you’ll need a minijack-to-RCA adapter (not included). Plug the provided Y-adapter into the minijack-to-RCA adapter, and then plug the minijack-to-RCA adapter into the corresponding left and right audio outputs of your A/V receiver.MARK T : Plug the transmitter into an audio outlet, either your stereo (as I do, plugged into the Tape Out) or your audio out from your TV.
Then, just turn on the speaker. You may have to select the correct channel, but there are only 2 to choose from.
It's that simple. I have 3 of these... and love them.
TINA H : Can you use the IPOD with this speaker?MARK T : If you have the correct an adaptor for the plug in, yes, it will work with just about anything, but this is a 3 wire stereo system, and most iPhones/iPads have a 4 wire type plug. Those adaptors are available.
