Robert O : It states that the capacity for this geared head is 10-20 pounds. I thought is was 66 or 88lbs capacity? Please clarify
JASON K : I can't get the bottom gear (vertical gear) to sit flush. I loosen all the way, I push down hard. Nothing works. It's brand new and nothing is obstructing it. What am I doing wrong?
GEAN Y : Is this the head with geared panning on top? or the OG, non geared, arca quick release. ty.

I’ll let you know once I find a qr plate

The box was barely closed and the lever is loose, but it works....although sometimes difficult to release. I’m also not entirely sure that the slide feature work properly as it doesn’t allow movement. Lastly, the Adorama rep sold me a plate that doesn’t fit my camera after the qr plate I’d order changed to back order status. Everything I get from this store appears used. And I’m extremely disappointed.

If you're a landscape photographer get this head. It's expensive but it's extremely well-made and worth every penny. Leveling and panning is a breeze.

• The C1 tripod head, ARCA-SWISS C1 cube with its unique patented design makes possible, a level hitherto never reached, secure and precise camera positioning through precision workmanship and variety of movements. Photographic apparatuses can be moved micrometrically in two axes.

Because the camera moves inside the circular arc, object distance and image window are hardly altered. A panorama at the base of the tripod head serves to align the camera / recording instrument to the object.

Having aligned and levelled the unit, a second panorama, located above the tilting axes permits swivelling movements of 360½ without altering the perpendicular. The camera is fastened with the new, patented ARCA-SWISS Flip-lock quick release system which guarantees secure displacements or quick exchanges of the units by way of two functions.

In spite of the complexity of the device and the required stability, it has been possible to reduce the dimensional weight by a sensational 63%. It now amounts to only 35 oz / 994 grams.
