This efficient and reliable device is designed to add shared storage benefits to SAS storage, but with the speed of direct attached storage.
The XstreamCORE ET 8200 is optimized for high performance, featuring multiple hardware acceleration engines. It provides industry-leading performance to up to 64 servers, adding less than 2 microseconds of latency. This makes it an ideal solution for high-speed data transfer and low latency requirements.
This durable storage controller supports a wide range of storage devices, including SAS and SATA drives, and is compatible with various operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and Mac OS. It achieves up to 1.1M 4K IOPS and 6.0GB/s throughput per controller, with only 2 microseconds of added latency.
The XstreamCORE ET 8200 is equipped with Extended Copy (LID1) data mover commands, offloading up to 5.2GB/s of data from CPU, memory, networks, and storage fabrics. This leaves more resources for VMs and applications running on the host.
With the capacity to build solutions with up to 960 SAS SSD/HDD devices behind a pair of controllers, the XstreamCORE ET 8200 allows better management, monitoring, and utilization of storage. It also features ATTO xCORE data acceleration technology, which accelerates performance-critical commands and all reads/writes in hardware, providing end-to-end data protection.
The ATTO eCORE Offload Processor for Management and Storage Services provides command processing for management services, storage services, and integration with third-party IP. It also offers common services such as multi-initiator access, data mover, reservations, and vendor-specific commands.
